Having just found this story, I cannot understand how so few people have followed, favorited, reviewed...this, is why I read fan fiction. To find those nuggets of spectacular writing and character creation.

Omg you turned me into a blubbering mess. I thought I was in the clear but noooooo steve just had to ask her to dance, and to THAT song of all songs. AND THEN you brought out STAR WARS. Half a tissue box. HALF A TISSUE BOX "AT EASE SOLDIER" ARE YOU KIDDING ME? HALF A FUCKING TISSUE BOX

This is such a sweet ending to this story! You can practically feel Bucky and Kim growing closer as they climb. The very end is perfect. Kim expresses how much Bucky means to her, and Bucky gets to hear something he hasn't heard in 70 years - he is loved. *happy sigh*

I love your description of Smokey Mountains! I have never been there, but I want to go now! Have you been there? I ask because you're descriptions seem to come from someone who knows the place :)

Sorry for not reviewing until now! Yesterday was busy! :)

The funeral was well written - depressing and sad. I'm glad Tony was there to support her. When Kim mentions not being able to find Bucky in the woods, it makes me wonder where he went. I get the feeling it probably wasn't too far because Bucky has said it's his mission to protect Kim now, and he most definitely needed his own space to openly mourn his sister without bringing unnecessary attention to the area he'd been staying. Though I feel horrible for Kim too because she needed some comfort and wasn't able to get it immediately :( Sad all around!

I *LOVE* that Tony helped Steve get to the funeral! It's sweet and loving. And Kim's reaction was heart-warming and wrenching at the same time.

STEVE GIVING KIM THE DOG TAGS - BYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! (Though the nut in me who's seen a lot of crime shows is hoping Steve documented where he found those and took pictures so no one can try to claim at any point later that they could've been found by anyone, we don't have proof they were found in a hydra facility, blah, blah, blah O:))

The awkward parting between Kim and Laura was good. Very realistic. I'm glad that Kim took that extra step of asking Laura to text her when she got home to make sure she's safe. The two of them may not be on the best of terms right now, but as far as anyone else is concerned, Laura is her only living relative left, and she does care about her.

Ugh! How do I describe how you made me feel in the last section? I don't know! I really loved it. I'm glad we got to see Kim and Bucky mourning and being comforted together. My favorite part of the chapter :)

Fantastic job! On to the epilogue!

I really love the support that Tony shows Kim in this chapter. I wish we got to see more of that side of Tony in the movies.

You wrote Rebecca's death wonderfully. It's tear jerking. I hope I'm right when I think Kim's line about not being alone is her way of reminding Rebecca that Bucky will be there for her. (What's just as heart breaking is that Bucky's down in the woods and can't be there for his sister's death! :'( )

I like the tweaks you made to this chapter in order to introduce Emma. She's cool! :) I feel that she will help keep Kim's secret about Bucky when she discovers who he actually is (because having such knowledge on Steve and the Howling Commandos, I feel it's more a matter of when and not if she finds out Bucky's true identity - though I doubt it will happen in this fic :)).

I overall loved this chapter. Though I have to admit, even on my first reading of the part when Kim and Bucky are on their way back to the house, I imagined Bucky carrying her piggy-back for at least some of the walk. O:)

Tony is so supportive of Kim - I love it!

The end of the chapter is probably one the best demonstration of familial love you have in this fic on Kim's behalf. Kim might not like Laura because Laura is being an ass, but she still does the kind and loving thing of getting her a blanket and covering her. It's wonderful :)

Absolutely outstanding! Is there more? A sequel? Please tell me there is... I can totally see Kim being the one to eventually reunite Steve and Bucky.

I have been in years for most of this story. It was amazing and bittersweet, but that just made it better. I really hope Part III comes out soon.

Well done, a very peaceful ending. I hope you'll write a part three as there are some unanswered things, like how Steve will react to finding Bucky or Kim maybe being a superhero with her leg. Anyway, thanks for writing!

CJ/OddBall: All caught up and your chapters...and...I can't think of what to say. These last few chapters heartbreaking :'(...and heartwarming. :') That ending with Bucky and Kim standing, looking over the mountains, holding each other's hand and Kim saying "I love you" to Bucky...the Perfect ending! :') Yet their adventures aren't over yet and I look forward to the continuation! :) Wondering how you're going to fit Kim into the story and events of 'Civil War.' I'm getting more and more excited the closer the release of 'Captain America: Civil War' gets! :'D

This piece was beautiful, and omg that last sentence, perf, if i was kim i would have teared up right there and then, because for now that's his way of saying "me too" I know you told me it wasn't always going to be all lovey dovey, and i understand, bucky still has much to get accostumed to, but it doesnt mean i cant fangirl and or tear up with the few kim/bucky interactions we get. good or bad i hope we get to see more of those next part :))
