I absolutely love your story. Being Irish it's cool to see this language that is near dead used in something like this. However when you used the word Bealtaine, you should have probably used 'An féidir'. This is because Bealtaine means May as in the fifth month of the year. An féidir means 'can I', and another option would be 'an bhfuil cead agam' which means do I have permission to.
Once again I love this story and I just want to help with your translations, I don't mean to offend you in any way.

I loved this story so much! Just them taking care of each other and being there like a family is adorable. It's one of the reasons why civil war broke my heart.
