Saw this AU on Tumblr about a week or so back. Loved the simplicity and sheer angst you brought to this fic. Very sad but very good as always!

Huh. I love your au stories. They're always so interesting, like a whole new world, similar to ours but with different societies. Well that's just about exactly what it is. :/

Sweet, but rather tragic. It must be so hard, to have all the colour seep out of your world. At the same time, it must be incredibly awesome to go from seeing only black and white, to seeing violently in colour, and very confusing if you have no idea who your soulmate is, but you just suddenly start seeing things in colour. I don't believe in soulmates, romantically or platonically, but it's a nice idea.

What an interesting AU - and one I could have stayed in a LOT longer! I really like the idea of turning a metaphor into a reality of its own.
This is a beautiful world, although perhaps rather sad and unfair for those who can't track down their soulmate (let alone those who lose it). Finding the perfect match is already a big business in our society, so can imagine that if it came with such a marked difference, it would lead to envy and more inequality etc...But anyway, a good story and got me thinking. Hope you write more stories in this AU!

This was so unbelievably heartbreaking I can't even begin to describe it. You're bang-on correct with what you say about one person being able to bring colour and light to your world, then when they go - so does it. I love the idea of a world where people literally see in black and white until they find their soulmate though - you're so fantastically creative with your ideas, you should write your own novel! :) The whole way through this I was thinking "It's a mistake right, John can't be dead - he can't!" just as you do when that happens in real life - the sign of excellent writing. Keep up the awesomesauce work, have a super day and DFTBA! XD
