GrnDrgnzrd chapter 7 . 7/5/2016 Love the fic. Just as a heads up, though: In chapter 3, you listed Ruby's age as 17. In chapter 6, she says she's 15. Just wondering which one you will stick with. Thanks. :) |

TealMegurine chapter 7 . 4/18/2016 update |
Topaz Smith chapter 7 . 3/25/2016 Well that was beautiful. Just started reading this story today and am really loving it. Fairly certain I read this somewhere else though. It just feels familiar. Is this story on AO3? Also I dont know if I missed it but did you ahve names for Mr. and Mrs. Schnee? I just noticed a name in place of Tai Yang for Ruby's dad and was curious. |
Detak chapter 7 . 2/26/2016 What is a good story? A story where even it took a long time to update but you don't need to re-read the previous chapter just to remember the last part. Conclusionit manages to stick in my mind for a long long time. And this story is one of them. Let's see, i look forward for the appereance of Blake. Maybe she can play the role of the attacker of Vale. Maybe the role of the villain's right hand. Why? just because. Even if Winter won't be in the story, i truly hope Qrow will be here. Playing the role of instructor or a senior knight whom Ruby has the same interest (of weapon) with. And as usual, i'll wait patiently for the update~ |
Guest chapter 7 . 2/26/2016 I doubt this was intentional, but it really feels like Glynda's got her priorities screwed up. She sits and watches Ruby try to order the princess around, she makes the princess follow her bodyguard instead of the other way around, and she's just letting Yang stay with her, even though Yang must already have somewhere to stay, and clearly she's causing problems for the princess. |
Cluny the Warlord 1992 chapter 7 . 2/26/2016 I can understand you not doing bland and over all annoying characters *cougNEONcough* that were introduced in volume three. As for the "Sister I never knew I had" trope, I'm actually glad that you're not using an already overly used and, albeit cheap, soap opera angle to shove Winter into an already tight-knit story plot. Now then, for your latest installment (one long message deserves a not as lengthy, yet most well needed, and positive critique). The tension between Weiss and Yang, will there be any humorous/bonding moments, as I believe it may make Weiss talking to Ruby a little more easy if Weiss and Yang are slightly more at ease with one-another. I have a feeling that since Pyrrha is destined for greatness, she'll undoubtedly be offed toward the end of your story (February 13th all over again *Glares at Cinder* "You've been marked."). And I'm glad you kept Nora and Ren's relationship as friends alive in this _ As to Jaune getting chewed out for his lack of skill due to the fact that he hasn't been practicing outside of training sessions (something everyone with the where with all to do should be doing) was understandable. I also kind of expect that Salem (the narrator from the very first episode of the main universe and the now revealed main antagonist of the series) won't make any appearance, nor will she be alluded to in your story. Understandable seeing as you have already stated that your story is finished but needs to be written out and you won't include newer characters introduced at the end of the most recent volume. All important question: I know that the main focus will be on the human antagonists who attacked in an earlier chapter, but will Grimm-esque creatures be included as a non-human/non-aligned force for the protagonists to deal with? Someone was bound to ask this, I may as well get it out of the way now and save a more illiterate iteration of said question from popping up later as your story progresses. All in all, nicely written, I look forward to reading your next installment... I just hope it won't be as long as it has been. Take care in your future writings. ~Cluny |
Natural Born Flamer chapter 7 . 2/26/2016 oh no, not Pyrrha again... it's still hurt like hell everytime i remember her, i still can't accept it, i don't when will i can... i just hoping that Ozpin is survived both in Canon and in this story. as for Cinder Fvck, she doesn't even worth any of my cursing word. Thanks for this wonderful chapter anyway dude, keep it up! And don't be so long for the next chapter... hahaha |
The Unplanner chapter 7 . 2/26/2016 Okay, it looks like Yang's character is pretty well established, and matches the show's version nicely. She attempts to administer death by hugs, then slings boisterous insults, then explodes into burning rage while barely being restrained by Ruby, then she's suddenly all smiles in the space of two minutes! It does make sense that Jaune isn't the leader; after all, he's out of favor with his instructor and hasn't shown any of the tactical prowess that makes him a good fit for the role yet. But at least in canon, Pyrrha isn't capable of the assertiveness you'd expect of a leader. If you asked her to make a decision, she'd ask Jaune to make it, then say "I'm sorry!" Then again, nothing says she can't just ask Jaune while "officially" being the leader of the team. Wait, how does one pronounce "PNJR"? Maybe they don't pronounce the acronyms in this universe. Juniper is only one less syllable than J-N-P-R anyway, but Juniper does roll off the tongue more easily. So, does everyone use swords in this AU? Maybe they train everyone with swords as a secondary weapon in case they lose whatever they prefer to fight with, like Weiss' rapier or Ren's sickles. It's weird picturing Nora with a sword; it would be perfectly feasible to give Nora a war hammer regardless of the society's tech level, just maybe not one that transforms into a grenade launcher. Then again, without her Semblance (yet), Nora might not be strong enough to wield a weapon like Magnhild. And sparring against a hammer-wielder while using a sword like Jaune's would be a very lopsided fight, one way or the other. I'd assume the sword-wielder would get in more hits by virtue of being faster and more agile, but this is Nora we're talking about... Winter NEVER made sense, except as a shining example of what I want Weiss to grow up like, so I like Winter despite the glaring inconsistencies she presents. If Winter is the older, more competent sister, why is Weiss the heiress? Nobody even brought that up in the show. They were too busy ogling her dual-wielding style and new tricks for the most game-breaking Semblance of them all. I get the impression that Semblances were deemed, as Neon "Miss Not-Appearing-In-This-Fanfic" Katt would say, "SO last season", so Rooster Teeth is breaking out a slew of new, less-well-explained powers to up the ante. I bet Neo (who is definitely not dead) has yet another classification of power, since it's hard to place all the weird stuff that this dangerous, mute lunatic does in a single category that could be called her Semblance. The hereditary Semblance of the Schnee family, though, trumps any of this new BS. Time dilation, space warping, gravity control, fine control of Dust "spells", and summoning? All of those are total god-hacks. Weiss could probably keep up with all these new-season powers just by training her Semblance. And if Glyphs can do summoning, do they work for teleportation? Better question: what CAN'T they do? I recall you said there would be some kind of massive event that causes Semblances to start popping up everywhere in this AU. I can't wait! On that note, my first guess at who's going to show up next... Blake Belladonna? Please? She needs some positive portrayal after that stunt she pulled at the end of Volume 3. Team RWBY was reduced to just Team R... |
Guest chapter 7 . 2/26/2016 it seems logical that Jaune is not the leader, since, especially during the Middle Ages, it is the most ford and most Stratagene, which are the highest ranking. I guess as wicked will Torchwick or Adam. Or maybe Salem |
