While just a tiny bit morbid I do like the idea of Kakashi waiting for Naruto at the gates of the afterlife so that they can go in together. Chances are high Naruto would do the same thing if their positions were reversed. I also think it's sweet that Sakumo is basically saying that he wants to meet the person that Kakashi loves the next time they meet.

I also loved that Naruto and Kakashi were reunited at the end and they both welcomed each other back home. I'm also happy that Kakashi was able to go back and let Naruto know how he feels and not have any regrets.

eeeeeee! Man I haven't reviewed a fic in ages so I'm sorry if I'm not helpful, but wowowow I just want to go back to writing lots of KakaNaru fic now because this was so sweet and well thought-out. I'm a big fan of exploring Kakashi's tendency toward looking at the past and regret, but Naruto is someone who helps keep him grounded in the present and ready to face the future. This was a wonderful moment to look at those aspects and ugh DUDE THE END SAKUMO MAN, BRING HOME YOUR CUTE LITTLE SPOUSE EEK. Feelings. I have them.

Anyway, this was wonderful and I'm so glad you've been writing so much KakaNaru- it spurs me on to read more and writing more.

Okay,first off I would like to invite you to come over and KICK MY GODDAMN ASS for taking so long to read this.
Admittedly, I kinda shied away from reading this fic when I got the alert. I'm not lying when I tell you that I have been facing the worst and hardest time in my life and I really didn't want to read fill my heart with additional pain, but your stories often just make me want to curl up in bed and sob. XD

So now that things have cooled down a bit I finally read the story. Again, and again, and again.
And you know what I was thinking all the time? "OH, THE IRONY!"

Why? Because "regret", "remember" and "return" are exactly the words that had been racing through my mind in the past few months.

So I'll just sit back, hug my box of Hello Kitty Edition Kleenex tightly to my chest and wail "Oh, Kakashi, I FEEL YOUR PAIN."
