This fanfic was very well written. I enjoyed the emotions and detail expressed by Jack.

I know how you feel...I saw that horrible movie years ago, nothing like the books at all so my Hiccup's OCy too, and I have yet to see Rise of the Guardians, so Jack is OCy as well. You did Merida great though.

I have an idea, but it's up to you. I'm not positive this is where you're headed with your story but bear with me.

Each of the four have their own mascot already, they are what you mentioned as 'pets' that cross over with them. And dragons that they get in their current realm.

Hiccup: Toothless (pet, friend, and dragon)
Rapunzel: Pascal (pet lizard), and Buttercup (dragon)
Merida: Angus (horse), and Angus (dragon)
Jack: Baby Tooth (friend and follower)

What if baby tooth crossed over into that realm with Jack, and has been hiding in his hood? Jack needs a dragon later on, but the Bewilder Beast is the only one that breathes ice, and that's huge! So, the same magic tying the four together could recognize Baby Tooth as Jack's closest ally, and transform her into a new dragon - with the power of light. (Not during the first battle, but later when he is at his weakest)

And where Jack is standing right now, Baby Tooth can fly out and peck at the demon's eyes, have a short reunion twitter with Jack, before fluttering back to Jack's jacket pocket.

With respect to your story, in my opinion rapunzel is a little OOC...shes kinda too bold and sassy. Still i like the story just my opinion
