Hope this continues! You're a talented writer, and I have to say you nailed John.

So three police officers are so homophobic that they nearly beat a man to death? I can't read beyond this chapter. It is totally disgusting and so far from canon as to be insulting.

So I take it you did give up on this story after all?

There is really excellent material in here, particularly that tension between "faking normal" in order to avoid vs. trying to get on with things. I particularly like Sherlock chewing out Mycroft for not helping the way Sherlock wants. You have some excellent physical descriptions throughout, and the assault scene is incredibly immediate with its pain and time-sense being mushy and the emotional and physical confusion and pain bending John's sense of time and space and self. Well done.

I hope you're able to recreate where you were intending to go next with the story. Sympathies on the computer crash.

Good fic, gives me the chills, because it is so true! Hope he'll get the help he needs and the 4 police officers who raped him are brought to justice (or something happens to them, hint Mycroft, hint).

This was painful to read. Amazingly written and brilliant, but it's always painful to hear about someone else going through something like this. I liked the ambiguity and vagueness of the actual event, and as long as there is nothing more graphic than that present in a story, I am perfectly ok being a beta for any and all of your stories. Good heavens you write sad stories! Brilliant and amazing, for sure, but I might need some tissues for this rollercoaster ride!
