This is probably one of my favorite Tenchi Muyo fanfiction of all time. The build-up to the main reveal is hilarious and well-paced. I don't think there's been a better explanation of how Mihoshi's luck works.

May not be the official version, but in some time and space and universe, it's completely legit. You're just telling how it happened. XD

This was an unexpected treat (I was thinking of much the same scenario), and I think it works brilliantly as an origin story, bravo! Putting it from Kiyone's perspective was an excellent call, and you handled her responses well with what I remember of the TV series-great job! I'd definitely read a sequel.

I could actually imagine the voices from the cartoon while reading this! There aren't enough Miho-Kiyo stories out there! Well done!
