Occasional reader, first time reviewer: Welcome back! I reread the previous chapters before reading this one. Have no idea what the dark, jello-like substance is but I can't wait to find next chapter.

Kinda reminds me of the venom symbiote from Spider-Man.

Welcome back, now for my last question.

When's the next chapter ready, and will this be M rated in the future?

That speech from Kanatami sounded way to much like something canon Touma would say. This puzzles me a bit as you said your Touma wouldn't be the "goody Touma" does that mean Kanatami will be taking that role in some manor?

Speaking of Touma, your version of him confuses me on how your trying to construct him. I like how he interacts with people by trying to get them caught up in his pace but ultimately failing and having to fall back to being like the canon version of Touma. I mean I know you say he is more selfish and all and likes to scrap but he seems to always fall back into acting like the canon version of him but just a less concern about the people he fights that are just asking to get a beating form him for doing something bad. And I am also not really seeing the selfish part considering he still has the Index in his dorm who has even more control over him then she originally did what with her emotional manipulation act. Not to mention him helping Lili or him not calling upon some more of Hachiman's power if he really was selfish and scrappy wouldn't he want power to beat Izzard bloody for what he did? Is it supposed to be a sort of subtle difference your giving your Touma?

Also that fight with Hachiman and the Mors at the end was kinda of forced. I can understand why you did it as you wanted a build up for stuff for beings like Hachiman/ Mors in the future but Touma, especially your version of him and what you say your trying to do with him, should have been able to use Imagine Breaker on those swords before they impaled him if he could destroy all of those needles and beat Izzard by himself with only minimal help from Hachiman.

hm pretty good, though there's one thing i don't get, WHY DID NO ONE MENTION HOW THEY WERE BREAKING THE FOURTH WALL?

I really like this a differnt course of events from the main story and I like it more.
