Here's a better story for Nodoka if you don't want the truth getting out. Girl pisses off a water kami. Water Kami tries to drown her, because that happens alot in folklore. Ranma goes in to save girl. Ranma beats the water kami and looks to be succeeding in saving girl. Water kami curses the pair of them so that the girl cannot exist without Ranma and ranma is punished for saving her from the kami's wrath. All very Chinese. Convenient given the location. They new ranma seeks many cures for himself and the girl. Some sort of work. most don't. The Ranma, the girl and the dying girl are all a result of the latest attempt to free themselves from the kami's judgement. Ranma is ranma. Ranko is the girl. Ranma chan is the curse manifest, binging them together despite it all and causing all sorts of mental whiplash while the dust settles. Killing her isn't an option for the same reasons as the mirror and shes also the reason for the confusion with ranko and ranma cross-dressing and acting weird. It has all of the details of reality (if shaken and stirred) is easy to remember, covers all explanations and makes Ranma look heroic and honorable.

SOOOO the drama. GG, it's like you choose every move just twist the knife for the poor boy.

I see a way Fa Shen's musings about the nature of the mirror could help. If the two sides closed them off while Ranma was in a loop such as akane's spray, they could absorb their portion of the 'two souls of ki' and ranma would still be there, being reborn by the curse.

Ah, Ranma was actually very interested in Shampoo when she fell for him in the early comic. Her loss was that this interest in the sexy girl pressing herself against him was very well balanced by the fact that she was, and for the past 6 months had been, very adamantly trying to murder his female half.

Pff...I wanted the cat to get in on the fight. If the cat were to count as a possessing spirit then the three of them shredding each other and becoming a fusion would give them enough power to become three discrete people from the same cast.

Here's hoping nabiki's plan works and nibunoichi remembers himself. s/he'd work best in balance as opposed to an extreme. And REALLY, there's no reason Fa Shen/Ranma cannot be married to both Ukyo AND Xian Pu, or that Ukyo cannot become an amazon beside her two (cough) 'wives'.

Ranko should suppress fashen, as should Yang, because being ranma is hard enough. Ranma-chan, because of the situation you set up with him falling apart, should be the one who goes for it. With his bias towards masculinity and her's towards the amazons warped femininity balanced by his skin changing curse, Ranma-chan could come to a sort of happy medium alot easier than Ranko could.
