I'd bet Ash would end up as a Pikachu if he tried to be an animagus. What Pokemon is closer to Ash in personality than his own Pikachu?

... Okay, but actually, side games often portray Pikachu as brave, heroic characters, just like Ash. In Pokemon Mystery Dungeon : Explorers, the player as Pikachu would have either a Brave (male) or Hasty (female) nature in the personality quiz. On the other hand, Riolu is Sassy... Which I honestly didn't expect when I looked this up.
