This was the best ending possible for this story, tied everything up really nice. I love how easy it is to identify with Rekir, I mean he plays a trombone, he has a pet bird, it's neat.

I really, really enjoyed the mystery aspect of this story. Do you have plan to write similar story for X's squad? I have read "Move", but I think it's more an exploration of an idea than a mystery-solving story like this. Also it's really fun to see the difference on how X and Zero interacts with their squad mates.

This is wonderfully entertaining; I lol'd so much at Zero's frustration and social awkwardness. He's such a cutie, really. I love the way you write him!

Ah, this answered some of my questions already.

I don't think I even noticed you never really described Zero's squad. I never care about that sort of thing because it doesn't matter, so I was perfectly fine with not having to read a description about a character I would eventually forget anyway.

Yeah, I agreed with the thought behind not having X really appear in this story. It was neat to see Haley Paschal again even though it was morbid. I liked her. Boy you really have been crafting your own X universe, haven't you.

Lol, about Rekir and the trombone. I get it now. Heh, I always look for a logical reason. Should remember, especially with Fanfiction it's not entirely necessary.

Odd coincidence that the Sacco and Vanzetti thing. I know there first names Nicola and Bart from the song Here's To You that's been used in Metal Gear Solid 4 and 5.

Great stuff. I don't even know what to specifically comment on because I basically enjoy all of the ride I'm on. I like your characterization of Zero and how he spaces out from time to time. How you described his damage in Red Awakening was the single best way I've ever heard or thought about Zero's initial madness.

If a Megaman X game is ever made again, I hope we'd get to complete various missions like this one instead of blow up the bot all the time.

My reviews aren't nearly as in depth as they once were because I've realized the toll and effort they take from me. I'm also striving to be less picky. Yours are good, so there is less to talk about as well.

One thing I want to mention is I like how you address X's status as the progenitor in many of your fics. Something the games never did.

And I like the small lines of humor you inject.

Even though I have suspicions and guesses to what will happen, part of me almost hopes the Vito hired Vanzetti as a hitman.

Having the section with X and Dr. Cain be dialogue-only was a nice way to establish it as a scene outside the POVs in the story, a look at elsewhere.

Zero not telling him his memory is poor because 'you never reveal a weakness to an enemy, he believed that,' and then near the end of the scene telling Vito that his memory was broken was also a nice touch.

Having to choose between different goods, justice is the luxury of the strong (as is mercy)... A very good fic, and I'm looking forward to the training one.
