Guest chapter 25 . 3/20 Please continue updating! I understand it's been almost two years since you last updated but I'd really appreciate it if at least one more chapter was written. I love this story and I don't want to leave it without knowing how it ends. |
Please Delete Account 12222426 chapter 25 . 5/20/2019 Hello to you... I have been reading this story long before I opened this account. As a matter of fact, this was (and still is) a huge writing motivation for me. And I wish to say thank you, SkyKly, for writing what I consider to be one of the greatest FanFictions ever. To give this story a review, I fear that I'll be leaving something out - there is so much to say that I also feel at a loss for words. From the grand plot to the little details, it's no surprise that you carefully planned out everything perfectly. When the narrator set the mood in the first chapter, I got the feeling that this could be the start of something incredible - and I was right. Sealed away in the four sword but offered a chance at redemption, this one-of-a-kind redemption arc knows exactly how to get the reader every time, whether it be with some well-developed character growth or sudden plot twist. There is a lot more than what meets the eye with your story, and I commend you on the originality. You certainly know how to capture Vaati's character very well - his arrogance, drive for power and the little details you filled in were perfect, I would say. And other characters seem well-developed as well - you do a great job at writing Ganondorf so that his attitude can take over a scene; Shadow's unsureness makes the reader wonder where exactly the story will be heading - so great job there as well! True to The Legend of Zelda series, every legend has lessons with its story - one undertone of a theme that comes through with this story that sets it apart from the rest, the way I see it, is the possibility of changing one's destiny. The goddesses are pure in spirit, while Ganondorf is dark to the core, but the morally gray areas with Vaati (and Shadow) give the reader a new perspective that is seldom written as nicely as this. Vaati's recent acknowledgement of his own moral status and the ability he has to change the path his life is on is beautifully executed, and I commend you on the great job you have done. With this latest chapter, it was very interesting to see the reactions of Zelda and Link - not exactly what was expected. Lexi's optimism combined with her willingness to do what needs to be done by any means necessary is interesting especially when compared to Vaati is his current situation, with how he answered to Ganondorf. Great job - I can feel the climax coming! As for areas of improvements? Not much comes to mind. Other than the occasional spelling error, I can't see anything wrong with this story. I understand all too well how hard it can be to write sometimes. And I thank you for continuing to write this story - I will be sending my appreciation and gratitude every step of the way - you have my support. Thank you for all the time and dedication you have put into this story. I appreciate your determination to finish what you have started and hope everything goes well! I will be here, looking forward for what is yet to come... ShyAnimus7 |
Guest chapter 25 . 9/2/2018 OMG AN UPDATE YES! I love this story, I love Vaati, love redemption stories, and I love Lexi, she is so adorable. I would like to say that I thought this story was abandoned, so I stoped checking it as I moved on to other fandoms. Not to say I loved Zelda any less. Its just othe fandoms caiught my interest. Well recently my interest return to the Zelda fandom, and I wanted to re-read this wonderful story, and to my delight I leanred it was updated. Whoohoo, and what is my point for this long rant. Well to make you feel silly for thinking that this story is anything less than fantastic. I mean I know how it feels. To go back to your old work and think it’s bad, but I don’t see any reason why you should feel that way. Seriously this story is amazing. Vaati’s character development is believable, and progressing at a realistic pace, I am completely invested in not only what happeneds to him, but Shadow Link as well, oh and did I mention that Lexi is just adorable. I hooe this can encourage you that this story is worth completing, and I am looking forward to seeing what happens next. Unless it includes Vaati torture. Not looking forward to that honestly. Please don’t hurt my poor baby too much. |
MaaaGisa chapter 25 . 8/20/2018 I’m really happy that you uploaded a new chapter, on my old device, I had bookmarked this story and was checking it almost every day! I don’t normally see a lot of Vaati redemption stories that are actually good, but by reading this one, I think I found one! I really love your writing, and I’m looking forward to reading the next chapter! Thank you!3. :) |
Abbra063 chapter 25 . 5/10/2018 *Me, seeing that this has been updated* *Stares for a bit to see if I'm actually seeing right* I remember when I first found this story and how many emotions it evoked, but I never though that it would be updated. This is an exciting development! |
Lord Siravant chapter 25 . 5/4/2018 My God, I genuinely thought you were dead, it's been so long. Now I probably have to reread the whole thing because I don't remember most of what happened anymore. |
James Birdsong chapter 25 . 5/4/2018 Good story |
M aeeeeee chapter 25 . 5/4/2018 Haha, well I'll be! Welcome back! I honestly didn't think I'd get to see one of my favorite stories from years ago update! I'm eighteen now, but the minute I saw the name SkyKly on my email, I instantly remembered what this was. I'll need to reread, but hopefully I can rekindle that fourteen-year-old excitement again (and maybe my reviews will have more to them than just fangirling about the game characters)! How've you been? Good, I hope! I see things are seeming to take a turn! Don't give up, Vaati! A hero's coming! :D |
Sp00kyT00ns chapter 25 . 5/4/2018 OMG YOUR BACK! i never thought you wouldd ever come back because typically people who stop writing for more than a year quit. im so glad that you were inspired again to finish this story :D |
Autismo555 chapter 25 . 5/4/2018 It's no problem! It took me a year to complete a chapter of one of my stories. |
Midna chapter 24 . 2/7/2017 What happened? Why did you seem to end the story on a cliffhanger? I'm definitely not the first person (well, maybe I'm the first Twili) to point this out, so why haven't you updated? That aside, this is an interesting chapter, and I want to see Link and Zelda's expressions when the see that Vaati is Lexi's friend. Also, Vaati, could you turn into a Minish to escape the chains? Imagine the look on Ganon's face when he finds you gone. Also, Shadow, to what you said in the last chapter: Yes, most of Zelda's guards are useless. *cough* when Zant takes over and they die instantly *cough* *cough* or when they won't even guard Telma and Ilia *cough* Lexi seems to not be useless, though. |
Arridu chapter 16 . 12/29/2016 Dear Goddesses, Tingle was bad enough in canon but you made him some sort of unkillable lovecraftian annoyance THATS EVEN MORE INSANE AND DISTURBING...congratulations this chapter was the most terrifying thing I have read this month...poor Vaati |
Rhaylt Zheirt chapter 24 . 7/29/2016 Nice story! The development has been fun to watch unfold. It's such a shame it's not finished, it seems to be really close! I get that life gets in the way, sometimes, and other times one just stops caring about the story. Both of those are legitimate excuses. BUT! If ever you DOOOOOO finish the story, I'll be eagerly waiting because I want to know the ending! :D Thanks for the great read~ |
Abbra063 chapter 24 . 7/25/2016 My goodness! Why must you torture me like this! I find an amazing story and it's not finished! |
AthenaxVio chapter 24 . 5/14/2015 Hello owo are you ever gonna finish this? just curious |
