so I wasn't the only one who thought Douglas and Chase did look alike ? (I mean as much as two actors would-) And Douglas does say that he Chase had a lot in common ! Not gonna lie I was expecting a happy end but this one fits well.

This was incredible! You are an amazing writer, and I loved reading this.

If you are ever going to make a sequel to this, I believe the plot should be chase's slow descent into darkness by joining douglas. Or something different. That plot is way overdone and chase could instead leave the team for good and not come back. There are multiple options and again, if you are planning a sequel then it could be great to discover more of davenport's thoughts and chase's downfall.

Omg I totally agree with you right there! Especially with the whole Douglas/Chase father/son relationship.

In the episode where Chase saved Douglas from Krane, oh that was beautiful. I personally love Douglas too (the hair is beautiful, just sayin'). In that episode, when they're all just standing there, Adam and Bree looking upset, but Chase. Oh my god, Chase.

I could see it in his face he was gonna do something.

Oh, man. I know I read this before and I really thought I had reviewed it, but I guess not. It was just as good upon a second reading. :) This story made me so sad for Chase, being hurt by someone he cares about and looks up to, for something that is completely not his fault and out of his control. You captured all of the characters very well, and did a good job with the Davenport family dynamics. I like that you showed them as a normal family who does fight and have tension sometimes. And I also enjoyed how you brought up some of the little things from the show that bug us fans and are kind of left unresolved (Adam's treatment of Chase, and how the whole "Avalanche" thing was kind of left unresolved. That episode should have been so much more than it was...grrr...). The only thing that confused me was the timing. I wasn't sure if the story was supposed to be a series of little scenes, or if Donald was having a flashback to all of those moments right when Chase asked him why he had been pulling away lately (I'm assuming it's the latter). However, 's formatting options are limited, so I know you did the best that you could with what they offer us. :) Anyway you are a great writer and I'm glad you're writing for this fandom. Oh, and I think this story should absolutely stay a one-shot, though you could expand on what you've started here in future stories.
