Isaac chapter 48 . 4/2 I just finished reading through this and wanted to let you know I greatly enjoyed it. |
V01dSw0rd chapter 41 . 11/12/2019 Can I get a link to said webcomic? I wonder how the future would’ve turned out if they didn’t make the Suffering Circut shortcutwhich Arc X doesn’t have (from your Definition story) Meaning that every Repliod would be even more like a human in how they develop. To put it simply, they would be sent to school! (Probably more like the last years prior to graduation, and a bit of college) Maybe you could write an omake of Ciel, Roll and Kalinka meeting? I have this idea for a semi-altered Megaman Zero timeline where everyone they believed dead actually got moved to Mars. Making them think that they’re dead is intentional, as a method of ensuring a Stable Time Loop. |
V01dSw0rd chapter 31 . 10/25/2019 After reading this, I compare Reploid Maverick Virus to AIDS... With how it was kept in check in the source species and while Humans are compatible, it ended up being so much worse! |
V01dSw0rd chapter 3 . 9/23/2019 Can you explain the ‘Mount Restraining Order’? |
Genisay chapter 5 . 4/29/2019 These are proving to be rather interesting to read, but sometimes quite confusing as who is doing what is not always clear, and who's POV can take some detective work to figure or changes with little indication of who is being focused on. There are times when you describe Shadow Man doing something, but I spend a whole chunk thinking it was Forte instead. XP |
Yeet chapter 11 . 11/25/2018 LUMINE MINECRAFT! LUMINE MINECRAFT! |
Selias chapter 12 . 4/26/2018 Wait, he killed Young Zero? Did I miss that, somehow, or did that happen in the background? |
Selias chapter 7 . 4/25/2018 Pretty sure he was named Blues because, like Rock and Roll, it's a type of music. |
Brigantes chapter 5 . 3/25/2018 To be fair, Rock isn’t exactly wrong, even if X and Zero are probably closer to Platonic Life Partners then anything more... explicit. |
LurkingMushroom chapter 32 . 1/25/2018 I know this is an already completed fic from a few years back, but I can't contain the feels so I have to write a review again! It has taken me a while to get used to the writing rhythm, but once I did I realized there's something very particular yet ingenious about the way you write from the characters' perspectives: because most of the perspectives we read from are robot masters who, unlike humans, make decisions, predictions, and assumptions from programming, logic, and reasons - kinda like how actual programming sequences go - there's so many "If this, then that" and "If yes, then this" kinds of sentences. And because Zero is basically a combination of stardroid and robot master, not only does he follow that kind of thinking, he has an entirely different set of emotional reactions to various stimuli from how X and humans would feel and experience - which really didn't sink in until this chapter when X tells Zero about how much he's honored by Zero finding him worthy. For some time I was wondering if i was just not putting the pieces of the story together well enough because there's so much information - and there has to be because it's robot thinking! - but it's not just that: in a way, you wrote a story about robots for robots, and that's so brilliant! Also, it's pretty amazing how you developed a seemingly innocuous story plotline of time travel - which can either invite tragedy, easy fix-it, or unlimited crack (and the story seemed to lean at first towards crack with the wild intro) into a humongous epic. The true shame is that every Megaman theory/headcanon you've incorporated into this story isn't canon because they definitely should be! The literal duo meanings behind Duo's name and its connection to X, robot master etiquette and how Zero and X are unintentionally following them through when they're hilariously intending for the complete opposite effect, and how the virus's decaying process works on Reploids - ugh, everything is soooo goooood. Also, you make best Roll. There's a lot of writers who don't really appreciate her, and to be honest I didn't think too much of her either since, well, she's not our player character in the games. But you've given her so much justice, using robot master logic to really drive in how high up she in in the robot hierarchy and show us why she deserves to be put up there. "Girly Bot" a compliment indeed. I don't remember where I heard this quote, but someone said something along the lines of "the best thing a fanfiction can do is to give more life to the medium it's honoring." This fic embodies that. I can't wait to finish this fic, then reread it again with the extra knowledge to understand it more fully! |
LurkingMushroom chapter 22 . 1/23/2018 I AM ABSOLUTELY FREAKING OUT. I’ve spent literally the entire day reading through this series, then taking a break in the middle to read through some tvtropes and some more info on Megamix (amazon shipping is th a/v in Korea so I cannot buy the books, sob), and now that I’ve come to this chapter it feels like pieces of a puzzle I didn’t knew existed are coming in together. There’s so many little things in the actual game series that players don’t think too much about because 1, we’re usually more into the game than the story and 2, the stories in the Megaman and Megaman X series aren’t written as smart as they could be. But you take in all the little details and the usual unasked questions like “Zero is not a reploid, but does that necessary mean he is a real android like X?” And the way you’re bridging the Classic series into the X series like how X and Zero’s energies/cores/designs have alien technology waved into them thanks to interactions with Duo and the stardroids - ugh, this is so good. I have so much more to say but I am so little on sleep to be coherent enough, but I made the physical reaction of going “oh. OH. OHHHHHHHHHHHHH” once I read this chapter that I had to write a review to let it out. |
Anon chapter 6 . 9/23/2017 Personally, I always saw the energetic crystals as a living ore. Not harmful, just slowly growing off of whatever energy was in the environment, like geothermal of tectonic. But they only seem to grow in areas that are incredibly deep underground, as seen by the fact that all of the areas that we see crystals in are, in fact, incredibly deep underground. Remember the mineshaft in MMZ? The one with Cubit? That was incredibly deep, requiring an entire system of massive elevators to bring the crystals to the surface. Here's my reasoning. As a living ore, the energen crystals need 2 things: energy, and a suitable place to grow. Deep underground provides both of those things. It allows for energy to be harvested for growth, the aformentioned geothermal and tectonic energy. But it also provides the nessisary PRESSURE that the crystals would need to form. After all, they are crystals. Diamonds, rubies, quartz, any crystal requires pressure for its creation. Which explains why they were found so deep underground. Furthermore, if I'm remembering the crystals correctly, they originally fell to... wherever, when Dio and his dark copy were fighting in space, i.e their origins were directly correlated to those two smashing into one another at near light speed, and breaking off bits of themselves as combat damage. Meaning that, yes, they all could have come from the dark copy, but it's just as likely those shards were from Dio, or from both of them. Either way, I don't think that the original crystals were evil. Hell, Blues had one for a power core for quite a while, and he was a hero literally to the end. So no, I don't think that the crystals are inherently evil. Extraterrestrial in origin, sure, I could totally believe that. But not evil. Not when every repliod and mechaniloid EATS THEM as nourishment, and don't end up crazy. At least, not crazy because of the crystals... ...Did I have a point to this? I don't know, I love to theorize about this kind of stuff. Anyway, love the fic! |
Eeveechan chapter 48 . 6/4/2017 I really like your story.! It's very interesting. I REALLY wish you'd continue. I'd like it to see more of what you'd do.! It's fine if you don't want to though... Although it would be nice. I think you've done a great job! The biggest thing I'd say is that you made the mistake I used to do, saying 'thought' a lot of times where you ment 'though'. Otherwise I don't remember any other errors. Anyway, great job! (*Eevee sits, tail waging playfully back and forth, slightly pleading look on it's face hoping for another chapter, but still happy it didn't end right in the middle of a terrible cliff hanger*) |
V01dSw0rd chapter 23 . 5/29/2017 What would the EXACT reason be that Dr Wily's mechs always come in second. I have a hard time figuring it out, since it not EXPLICITLY stated. |
V01dSw0rd chapter 22 . 5/29/2017 This story is AWESOME! The way it points out aspects that SHOULD be considered, but most people don't think about/examine closely... PURE GENIUS! I plan to make a KH SI story, and one world would be the Megaman Zero series... I PLAN to use many of the points (Lore details) brought up in this story! |
