Elfreida chapter 1 . 8/22/2014
I love how this plays off people having a sense of perspective and the masks that have to be balanced out with real human emotion. It also has a sense of characters' motivations and the concept you gave it at the start. It's nice; I like it :)
cunning bird chapter 1 . 7/9/2014
oh gosh. This story right here, this was brilliance. I couldn't stop grinning! Had to fight back laughter at several occasions. That story was fantastic, absolutely fantastic :D

I must say well done! Hilarious, cute an sad at the same time. How do you do it?! I was reading this in the middle of the night and I nearly choked to death on my own laughter trying not to wake everyone! It's perfect and I'm so putting this up on my instagram page
Book girl fan chapter 1 . 4/27/2014
That woman is disturbing.

Sometimes, I had no idea who was saying what, in fact, most of the time I didn't know who was speaking, but I still enjoyed it. It's sad that their bond will have to come to an end.
Cody Swagger chapter 1 . 4/24/2014
*dies laughing*
Oh Anakin...poor Obi-Wan. Ani stabbed the personal-space bubble and popped it. Teehee.
So you know how you were saying that a Star Wars character should talk like a Shakespearian?
/Hondo
In my strange mind, Hondo reads Shakespeare when he's bored...and quotes it whenever he feels like it. Just my two cents :-)
StarOfTheSeaaa chapter 1 . 4/22/2014
I really enjoyed this. It was very well written, and the banter was spot on! The characters were very well written and over all this was a very good story. Like a little interlude in the turmoil of the war and the third movie. I'm sad that the happiness they felt couldn't continue. I wish it could have stayed this way between them, close and happy.

Again very well done.
The Team chapter 1 . 4/18/2014
Awesome AND hilarious! Loved it! (As usual) ;D
Guest chapter 1 . 4/17/2014
Enthralling and a perfect read. You have found a way a way to say everything without overelaboration.
Natalie Thropp chapter 1 . 4/18/2014
I really enjoyed reading this! Do you plan on doing more along these lines? I'd definitely read them
froovygirl chapter 1 . 4/18/2014
Anakin with an abhorrence to authority? * gasps * Never! It was nice to start this with a chuckle, as your quote at the beginning led me to.

It seemed natural for the two Jedi to be having two-for-one burgers at the greasy spoon of Coruscant. Throw in a few beers and maybe they'll be taking in a rowdy sabacc game later. I outright laughed when Obi-Wan threatened to lock Anakin in a closet, complete with juice box and crackers. The imagined picture of that, with Anakin all golden curls and steam, wisps of furious smoke coming out of that golden head... Ha! Then the pink heels talk and Anakin's unabashed, joyful laughter... I just threw my hands up and sighed at that, and Obi-Wan leaning back with that odd little smile I could almost see. I loved that Obi-Wan kept chipping away at Anakin's walls, shard/joke by shard/joke, not letting the stubborn boy from Tatooine retreat into his darkness. Not letting either of them retreat, because stubborn as they are (too blased stubborn!), they need each other.

Then, they went and had another serious conversation of "why did you save me because I'm expendable" (as if, Obi-Wan!), interrupted by the rather, ahem, forward woman with ample bosoms and ANAKIN PULLED AN ALTERNATIVE LIFESTYLE RUSE (caps definitely needed, as I started howling like a fool when Obi-Wan told Anakin to get his paw off him). Then handcuffs. OMG, the fleeting image now burned in my brain. Very. Bad. Froovy. You didn't help, what with all the talk of Hutt pleasure methods and furry pink handcuffs. * does a Jedi mind-trick on myself to wipe any image of Anakin, Obi-Wan and anything pink from my head *

You know, the humor was really effective in softening the utter seriousness of two war-weary boys who have lost significant parts of themselves and their bond through death, destruction and ethical ambiguities. That decapitating Dooku weighed on Anakin's mind and both felt the tenuousness of their bond before this little jaunt to Dex' was sobering. That they have to work this hard to reforge their thread is sad, considering their previous closeness, but events of the Clone Wars have chipped away at them both.

Jumping hand-in-hand? Perfect. Anakin asking like a little boy if they could come back to Dex' for a burger after the wars and Obi-Wan answering yes, patient as a father? Stupendous. Jedi and pink handcuffs? Don't do that to me again. Please. * mind-tricks QueenYoda to make sure it never happens again. * :)

I needed this little piece after your last epic update that obliterated the Jedi Order except for the Skywalkers. I needed The Team, busted and ornery and too blasted stubborn for their own good, but alive in intact. Amen.

Thanks, as always, for this. And best of luck on your exams! No worries; you'll ace 'em. :)
BladedBlossom chapter 1 . 4/18/2014
My only quibble is the idea Anakin would have left Obi-Wan to the droids. I did not get that impression from the beginning of ROTS. It seemed more like they were a fully-unified team at that point.

Was not a fan of Marian, but I'm sure that was the point. She was more caricature than serious person. I think she marred the fic, honestly, but good job making her distasteful.

My favorite joke was probably the closet with the juice box and one cracker. Too funny.

I enjoyed the back-and-forth over the bond. Must take some extraordinary mental coordination to carry physical conversation and then internal ones simultaneously. But maybe Jedi are used to it and thus, it's nothing major for them.

There's a subtle tragedy to this fic, since we know the bond never heals completely. Too many cycles of wall-building and the wrong thing done or spoken for the bond to mend and strengthen. But you make Anakin and Obi-Wan feel human, and the banter felt more affectionate than mocking, and that's tough to do.
