Dang. I wonder if Ansem was telling the whole truth. Regardless, I'm quite fascinated and can't wait to see where this "bond" takes him. I could totally hear Billy Zane when reading his lines, so major kudos to you. Riku's behavior was just as snappy as I would expect from his fifteen year old self, and I thoroughly enjoyed the way you established the workings of ghosts in this fic. Nice work!

Dang, this chapter was chilling. I could sense Riku's pain and apathy from start to finish, and I was so relieved when Kairi's presence was able to help him, however briefly. But of course that wasn't a longterm solution, and when it got to the night scene, I was on the edge of my seat. You did an excellent job setting up a spooky tone there, and now I'm quite eager to see what happens next chapter!

Aww, poor Riku. It was clear from the start that something was amiss. You did an excellent job capturing the effects of the possession, from the physical sensations to the effects on his demeanor. I find it interesting that his friends only intensify the feelings. You've set up a fascinating conflict for Riku to deal with, and I'm eager to see how he grapples with this ghosty.

Aha! So Terra is the brother. In hindsight, I should've guessed. Still, this was a fun read. I like the way you set up the ritual and the internal monologues commenting on the items. It was funny to see Riku adapt to the outlandish instructions, and given that this is an alternate universe, I'm curious to see what made Ansem abandon his original name. All in all, I doubt things are going to be that simple for Riku, given the summary.

Also, him having a mouse named Mickey was an adorable touch. Nice nod to the friendship they share in canon. :D

Interesting! So I take it this world is a bit closer to reality than the KHverse? Either way, you have my interest. I'm a sucker for Riku-centric stories, and I liked the way you established this fic's version of the Destiny Island trio. Their interactions felt very natural, and thank you so much for capturing Kairi's sass. I feel like a lot of people make her too much of a generic nice girl and forget that she's got a ton of spunk.

For what it's worth, I think you did a good job with the KH1 characterization thus far. Now you've got me wondering who Riku's brother is, though. Another KH char? Someone else entirely? I am intrigued.

ONAGAHDDDD I LOVED THIS CHAPTER.

XD I loved how Riku had named his mouse Mickey.

But what was even more enjoyable was the eerie sense of feeling I felt as the ghost of Ansem arisen. I was waiting in anticipation as you had Riku go to light the candle, and BAM. HIT ME LIKE A BASEBALL BAT. He didn't have his lighter O.O? The fact that that scenario had caught me off guard in the midst of said anticipation proves to me I was pulled into the scene. It felt as though I was right there, standing - observing the grave injustice that was Ansem's revival.

Hehehe :3 And the backstory of how Xehanort just disappeared and was assumed dead was perhaps the prerequisite of the enjoyment of the dark summoning. EXCELLENTE AMIGOOO C:!

I died of laughter when Terra had mentioned that Riku had locked himself away in his room when Sora hadn't wished him a happy birthday XDDDDD XXDDD I could totally see it. Riku growing mushrooms and all.

Anyways, I shall take reading this story slow :D I want to enjoy every paragraph - every word - NO, LETTER - until I have caught up to speed :D Olé!

Hehe! This story is so far enjoyable. You have provided solid transitions, which most untalented writers lack. But what really pulled me in was this incredible introduction.

You can feel just how close each of their relationship is as a trio.

But what really piqued my interest was Riku's perception of the world around him, and the curiosity of the paranormal. I nearly died of laughter when you had Sora try to scare Kairi and Riku XD.

Ah, and I can't wait to read ahead about this spirit Riku wants to summon. I suspect Riku may have a little something for the redhead ;)

ANYWAYS, I have to read on. This is more addiction than candy, and for me, THAT'S SAYING SOMETHING!

Awesome story! Really creative and believable incorporation of canon into this new world. And every character is so alive and just THEM. I love it! Can't wait for more
