I think they're perfectly in character, and I admire you for being able to get into Sam's head even now. This is much better reasoning than I've been able to come up with. :)

I loved this. You did a great job with it and i really can't wait for the brothers to be brothers again.

Nice reason. I always imagined it something like that. Sam is tired of screwing up and causing people pain because of it. He just wanted to leave so he wouldn't be responsible for all the pain. I also like to think of little side-reasons too. One of my faves is the fact that being a vessel to something freaked him out due do his experience with Lucifer. :D
