I never actually thought about Emily and Andy's mom possibly being one and the same person. I've read on the internet that there was several pieces of evidence to support this. It's a shame that Disney and Pixar did not fully explore this in the Toy Story 2 movie. If Andy's mom had seen Jesse herself and had given some kind of emotional reaction to Jesse's presence, that in itself would prove that Andy's mom IS Emily and everything would have come full circle... It is a shame that Disney and Pixar did not include a scene to support this possibility...
