I’ve read this fanfiction six times now and I still dream of an update

what the fuck is wrong with Jesse, I'm guessing its a new kind of disease in his system, or maybe an impending infection from the injuries he had sustain from before jackson, the guy got shot a lot of times and most definitely not all of them have been treated right. I cant believed Im cliffhanged just when we are about to find out what is wrong with him.

I know you might not get this but if you do, I wanted to thank you for making this story, Jesse is amazing, he has so much flaws and personality, his interactions with Joel and Ellie makes him fit so well in the story. Love the pacing, I dont feel rushed at all. And im so full of suspense from reading everything that's been happening.

And poor Leav, but at the same time, Fuck you leav I knew he was getting fucked from the moment Jesse left and not just once but 3 times what a fucking unfortunate guy but he was giving me the creeps like wtf.

And God... Joel I'm now just noticing how much of a selfish jerk you are but with a world like this I can't hold it against you.

I hope you're doing alright, but from the 3 years of absence maybe you've found success in writing original stories, I hope its working out for you. I hope you find an inspiration and motivation to maybe come back and continue Jesse's story.

I liked this chapter, and I think either Jessie's old wounds are acting up, he truly can't let go of Ellie and is suffering almost literal heart break, or if he is infected, like Ellie sience he kissed her, would he inhearit the mutation? Either of the ways, keep up the good work!

Heh, I'm a new reader here. Just read through this fanfic plus the one that came before it. I very much enjoyed the ride, even if it abruptly stopped. The writing style is very enjoyable and the pacing is good, although to be honest I'm disappointed that you no longer continued it. But that doesn't matter, the story and the characters are good! Wish you would continue with this story though. Yeah yeah you needed to plan the story out first, but I think the story's well structured enough that you can complete it. Hell you even somewhat given glimpses of the "future" which are Jesse's dreams.

I looked up the medicines and found what they treat, my guess is when he got shot athe bullet fragments were never taken out and he's getting lead poisoning
