Interesting story. To be honest, I can't understand how and why Severus have a life debt to Lily.. she never did something to save him, she actually was a awful friend and literally even betrayed him. Is it only because he love her he feel the need to protect her or..?
That plot is very good and I just wish James and Sirius (and Dumbledore) get punished. Ah. Noble Gryffindors.
I saw that wasn't update since 2018? Is it mean this story is abandoned? I really hope its just a little break and you will return to this story.

Oh please finish this! It's really good and I want to see what happens! I really like how you make the characters seem more realistic and human than they're normally portrayed... I never thought that I would actually like Tobias Snape, but in this he's one of my favorites. I just really love how you're showing everything from a different perspective - and doing a bloody good job of it too! I just really hope you write more of this soon; I mean, what on earth happens now? Anyway, keep up the good work! :)

Fantastic story! Truly original angle on this. Lily is believable as a naive, easily led girl, Severus is also acting his age even while being very heroic. Moody, Bones, Dumbledore... I like how you write all of them! Thank you for writing!

Merlin damn them! I so hoped that the sentence was a rouse and that the DMLE was going to put him into PC, under an alias with restrictions, but still allow him to pursue an Apprenticeship. But...NO, we have the same bs attitudes and prejudices running the Wizengamot as has been allowed and taught by Dimpledick at Hogwarts! What a bunch of pricks! I would have looked at what Severus had attempted to do, to protect the Potters and the heavy price he paid! Since when is nearly dying (TWICE; at the hands of both the so-called 'Light' and the 'Dark'; not to mention living through unbelievable physical and mental torture, that would have killed these f**king 'pure' bloods!) to do the RIGHT thing NOT enough?! Severus was a g-d HERO!
I'm wondering how much input into the verdict and sentencing Dimbulb had...After all, Severus screwed-up his 'master plan' to defeat Voldy, using the Potters and their baby!
Black and Potter are the same arrogant, smug, entitled sociopaths that they were at school; they just carry badges, now!
Nobody's investigating how *Voldy* discovered Severus' 'betrayal' or at least you haven't shown that anybody is even curious!
Whew; this is just plain ugly, right now; any chance you might feel like giving us a bit more; sooner than 6 months? Asking for a friend. ;-D

Love this story the emotional despair is everything. Will he survive? This is an honest, young, and fair assessment of what I feel his story would have been like without devious Dumbledore.

I am supremely excited to see you back! And this chapter does not disappoint. Each little glimpse into the various lives strikes true in the details. I am also hopeful seeing Moody's reaction to Sirius and James and their 'Snivellus bashing'. He and Amelia can at least ensure that S&J get some of the worst assignments.

Always an awesome surprise when a great story gets an update after a long time! I love this story, and I am glad to see you return to it. Poor Severus will have a rough time for the immediate future. I love your version of Moody-I hope he hooks up with Severus at some point. After Tobias, Severus seems to do well with the tough, direct approach.

My hubby and I watch the I.D. channel and see all kinds of stories about murderers caught, tried, and sentenced and are amazed at the range of punishments. It seems that a lot of the ones who get sentenced to life terms or even get the death penalty are the ones without money and/or adequate representation and then you'll see the ones who carefully planned out and executed a murder or who ordered a 'murder for hire' or even premeditatedly tortured and then killed someone get 7 years or 20 years or get their charges reduced to 2nd or 3rd degree murder or get charged with 'reckless disregard' or even just mutilation of a corpse! What do the latter sentences have in common: Money; those who can afford the best attorneys or who can and DO make significant 'campaign contributions' get off or get greatly reduced penalties! I mean, they can't give huge donations if they're behind bars, can they?
People who read canon HP's laughable 'Imperious Defense' and think its unthinkable or just a fictional construct are just kidding themselves about the real state of the Criminal Justice system the world over!
