Bessie chapter 1 . 10/10/2019 This is tragically beautiful! It makes so much sense and is true to the characters. Thanks for sharing. |
nauticalgal chapter 1 . 7/17/2018 Wow. This is amazing and I 3 it. |
Nimuea chapter 1 . 10/10/2016 Heartbreaking but oh so beautifully written. |
Soledad chapter 1 . 5/31/2016 Oh, this was so heartbreaking! I knew Soong would fail to do another miracle in the end, but I was still stupidly hoping through half the story that he wouldn't. An interesting way to redeem him; or at least a tiny part of him. Beautifully written! |
Shan Jeniah chapter 1 . 4/1/2016 Ouch. That was lovely, and heart-wrenching. I want to hug everyone, even T'Pol. Beautifully done. |
old chuck chapter 1 . 12/11/2015 excellent! Beautiful! |
TatianaTova chapter 1 . 6/17/2014 Why the producers did not think about it? I think this is exactly what was missing from the movie. |
BookQ36 chapter 1 . 6/3/2014 Beautiful, nuanced and touching. Very well done! |
TheNaggingCube chapter 1 . 5/18/2014 Wow, utterly painful and believable and well done. Lovely work. |
Jamieson Zed chapter 1 . 5/17/2014 This was an exceptional story and I'm having trouble coming up with the right words to do it justice. I had chills after the first paragraph and it only got more intense from there - your writing was so evocative and made it so easy to visualize such a subdued, poignant scene. More than that, you managed to portray an event that, while seemingly hopeless, was not overshadowed by absolute despair - less crushing and more tragic acceptance, if that makes any sense. It would have been so easy for Soong to sound fake or out of character, but instead you've drawn on the character's own experiences and created someone who is genuine and believable in his sympathies, someone who is deserving of the gratitude given to him by people who otherwise despise him - no easy feat. I agree wholeheartedly - this should have been part of the episode. Normally I'd request/encourage more, but in this case I think the story both starts and ends exactly where it needs to. Thank you very much for sharing this with us. |
paulc5 chapter 1 . 4/8/2014 This Shines - even with the straitjacket of the episode. Seems to me there is a lot more can be done with Soong within the Enterprise universe... |
SIGASLSAREHC chapter 1 . 4/1/2014 Beautifully, sensitively written. I believe Phlox would have wanted absolutely no stone unturned to save Elizabeth's life and I think Archer would have done everything he could to make this happen. Definitely fits in to that episode. Now where's my tissues... |
tahmtahm chapter 1 . 4/1/2014 Wonderful, heart-wrenching story. I think they would have called in Arik Soong, too. Thank you for writing. |
Belen09 chapter 1 . 4/1/2014 Another 'aspect' to the genesis of the 'emotion chip' of Commander Data in later times . . . what is remembered of 'devotion' - to duty, to friendship, to a higher need? Thank you; I enjoyed the story. |
MizJoely chapter 1 . 4/1/2014 Oh, so sad, but so beautifully written at the same time. You have a very poetic style in your prose! |
