We'reTheLoveGeneration chapter 1 . 1/17/2016 I don't know why the guest below keeps coming back to your stories to write essays about how deeply bothered he/she is about the f/hr thing. Anyways, I love this, hopefully you'll make a comeback this year because I would love more stories in this little missing moments universe you've created. Mari |
Fred chapter 1 . 8/20/2014 Now admittedly Fred was a dick in canon so his being a dick here to his brother is not that surprising. That said in the books Fred and hermione rarely interact and its mostly adversarial. Also Fred doesn't dance wonderfully, canon clearly notes his dancing with Angelina is terrible. You have to understand though, by now that R/Hr shippers don't like your stories at all, right? Because you made Hermione someone unlikable and you made Fred maybe an even bigger dick than in canon. Your stories make a lot of people ship Ron/Lavender. |
Guest chapter 1 . 4/2/2014 i still don't get why you continue to force this plot on r/hr and/or f/hr fans. it makes no sense. fred likes hermione but...wants her to be with ron? ron not just okay with watching this memory (which might've worked as a way to show his maturity post-war) but actually happy seeing his brother crush on hermione, rubbing her back in a ridiculously unfriendly manner? it doesn't work. it hasn't worked from the start and they just become more and more forced each time you try to make the f/hr more 'okay' for r/hr fans. it's great that you have details like using the weasley squib as a character, but such details that could enhance a story are completely undone by a forced plotline of ron going to gringotts, finding fred's memories and immediately looking at them impulsively. 1) how does a bookshelf/box attract ron's attention/remind him of fred in a vault full of gold and jewels as well as jokes, which obviously are more evocative of the twins? the fact that you don't even bother explaining how the box could remind ron of fred only emphasizes this. 2) how does there just happen to be a pensieve in there for ron to use? these are rare, by all accounts and even if the twins bothered to find one, why stash it away in gringotts? 3) why would fred keep these memories? i mean the trio haven't bothered to extract memories of their loved ones/each other, but fred keeps these of hermione? not george, not angelina, not his parents or ginny or anyone. just hermione? 4) if these memories truly were important enough for fred to keep, surely he would've kept his kiss with hermione as well? and surely ron would be a bit weirded out that the only memories fred kept were of his now-girlfriend and be a bit weirded out by it, or at least express some of that trademark jealousy rather than just missing fred. it's basically like finding love letters to and photographs of your girl in your brother's sock drawer. i don't care if you're the least jealous person in the world (which ron obviously isn't). that is weird. 5) if krum was jealous of fred, you think we would've heard about it somewhere, either in your stories or in canon. he was clearly intimidated by harry and confronted him about it before the 3rd task. surely he'd do the same to fred. 6) hermione is way too flirty with fred. sorry, but the reason the yule ball was important to hermione (as opposed to important to ron), was that it gave her a lot more confidence in regards to her girly, feminine and sexual sides. here it makes it look more like fred was the cause of that. which swings the hr feelings for fred a bit too far out of the friend zone for any r/hr fan to tolerate. there's a reason why r/hr fans aren't big on krum. why do you keep pushing fred into krum's place and insisting r/hr fans like him and his relationship with hermione? 7) stop calling this canon. this is not canon. it'd be a stretch to call it canon-compliant, but certainly not 'canon' as in undeniable truth as far as the author (jkr) has written it. |
claraowl chapter 1 . 4/2/2014 I really love this, and deeply admire the detail you put into your stories. I look forward to the rest, as seeing things from Ron's POV - and watching him realize what was going on - made the story twice as interesting. :) Excellent work. |
