Thank you. The "Zuko's a better person for wanting to keep his scar as a reminder" is certainly what most writers conclude a hero would want. He's a better person for wanting to keep it correct? And that is exactly why I prefer your story. Suddenly losing his scar would give Zuko a new perspective on everything. And the someone actually care enough to make the effort considering how his life has been one tragedy after another. That is quite an emotional roller coaster. Creative writers love their heroes and the stoic resolve to keep the scar is exactly what a conventional hero would probably do. Would an actual person do it though?

I've had a crazy few years myself. When I first read this fic I hadn't talked to the love of my life in over 4 years. 2 years ago I finally had the courage to talk to him again and to apologize for walking out of his life (I have very mild depression but at the time it was worse and I believed he would have been way better off without me even though I had done nothing wrong). Well, I got lucky and he not only forgave me, but since we were both single for awhile we decided to give our love one last chance. We've been happy together ever since. Because of all that I haven't been updating my own fics either. However the beauty with this site is we can always come back to it when we need it and we have so many others around the world keeping us company and giving us support and hope for the future. OMG I'm sooo sorry to hear that! I honestly just found this story tonight and I have to tell you how amazing and how talented you are. I may not know you but you are awesome and you deserve to live. Do not ever give up there is always hope and light in darkness. :)
Please take you time and when you are ready to update your new fic go for it. But your health is soo important and make sure you put yourself first. If you feel like writing fanfic is a stress reliever and therapeutic then go for it.

Tbh half of the incomplete fics on my favorites list update like twice a decade, and I'm still just as invested in their storylines now as I was when I first found them! And I know Zuko might have killed Azula anyway, but the fact that he didn't aim for her is stupid.

Firstly, you should consider changing Iroh's death to fire, instead of lightning, seeing as he is the inventor of the redirection technique. And Zuko sparing Azula is idiotic in the extreme.

But something that you might actually pay attention to: stop splitting the last sentence of your chapters up into three separate lines for 'suspense' and cliffhanger purposes. It doesn't add anything, and would look better if it were one line. Once could have been fine, but you do it repeatedly.

You should see me main fanfic, I haven't updated it or any other story in months. I tend to write only when inspired and only my one-shots are ever finished/completed. Anyway, I'm glad you are doing better and are still with us. I was at a low point myself last year. Instead of finding a way out I somehow found the courage to step up and take charge of my life. I, and I think many of us on this site, sympathize with you and support you fully. I know I do. Also if you want new cover arts just message me, I'll gladly make new ones.
