I came upon this story very randomly. I have to say, it was an excellent little discovery! This was an amazing character and concept study! It was very emotional, intelligent, symbolic, and worthy to the characters. I got a little teary to tell you the truth. It just so happened that I was listening to The Lord of the Rings soundtrack while reading this. When the Rohan theme came on I nearly lost it. I suppose that contributed to my emotional state, but it was definitely worth it in the end. Thank you for exploring this concept! It was definitely a good read.

The more things change, the more they stay the same. Outwardly Eomer has changed, but inside, the real person is still Eomer. Same for Pippin and Merry. Lovely way to show that and the ending was really beautiful. I didn't find it sad at all, just lovely.

That was amazing. It's sad how things change over time sometimes. Traditions and cultures become lost, history becomes nothing but a myth. Change can be good, it's nice to see new things come about, but I sometimes mourn for the old things that are put away and become forgotten. I absolutely loved this. It is one of the best written, well-thought-out stories I have seen posted on ffnet recently. I thought that you captured the characters in their later years very well and the concept behind the story with the King Edwin and his decision to convert made the story have even more depth of meaning to me.

On another note, I love Pippin and Merry above all other characters in Lord of the Rings, and seeing them written so well just made my heart go pity-pat.
