This is heart breaking and gorgeous and something that makes me want to laugh and cry and I love it. Because I think all art should be like that. That is what this is, art.

This is the third time I've reread this. I've watched fight club, a favourite of mine. I can't seem to be able to put how much I like this into propper sentences, so I'll be taking the easy way out, I love it. The characters wore their roles so well that I can't help but regard this as a stand alone novella. Keep up the good work.

Wow this is already so cool. I haven't seen/read Fight Club, but I know the general idea and I think it might be cooler because I haven't seen it. Also, I don't know if you're borrowing anything from the way Fight Club is told in your writing style (just guessing at how it's written), but you created a great voice for Soul as a narrator. God, it took me a really long time to get around to this, but I'm so glad I finally did. You did such an incredibly good job. I've never seen Fight Club before, and you know - it really wasn't necessary to enjoy this fic! I did look it up after reading it, though, and it seems like your interpretation was a fantastic translation of the original movie to SE characters. I'm absolutely in love with the way you write Soul's reverence of Maka, and the way you write their lovemaking. Hnnngghhh it is SO GOOD thank you for sharing this with us (even though I'm late!).

I am so, so glad you included this omake. It not only ties everything together and demonstrates the intensity of overcoming a darkness, but it is also written beautifully. There were so many lines that stood out to me: We are opposite, and that whole scene, the mouthful of teeth and heart full of love, making love howling at the moon, everything is so evocative and creative. I think this is one of the best AUs I've seen, and it is absolutely one of the best written. Thanks so much for sharing such an amazing story with the world!

I am so thrilled you wrote this! I adore how Soul's voice is still the same and yet not. He has changed, healed, yet still him. I love the dynamic between them and that you gave them both an ending they deserve. This is fantastic.

I've never read Fight Club, but I've watched the movie a couple of times. A Fight Club AU? The weirdest thing ever, but somehow this works. Really, ridiculously well. Maybe cause Soul already had a demon you could use? Hope you update soon..

That was excellent...this premise actually fit so very well with Soul Eater, you did a beautiful job of tying it together! Damon as the demon/black blood, Maka with her cleansing soul, chasing away Soul's madness, just perfect! Well done!

The whole story is just beautiful and I love how you ended it. Now I kinda want to read the original book. It's really, really wonderful.
