The way you tied all the threads of Finrod's experiences together was masterful. You made me cry. Thank you for this story!

Very good! I have been listening to the Silmarillion and just finished the story of Beren and Luthien today, so this is a all fresh in my mind. I enjoyed this treatment of those moments and the days before from Finrod's POV. Thanks for writing!

Beautiful story. Finrod's explanation about Men feeling as guests on earth and the idea that they have their home somewhere else, where one day the Eldar might visit as guests, was so full of hope, and such clear confidence in hope. Just wonderful. Loved it. I have a whole new appreciation for Finrod.

I don't know what to say... It's so beautiful ! It seems to me that you manage to express the very heart of the relationship between Elves and Men in Tolkien's works.
Finrod is such a beautiful character, his friendship with Bëor is so moving... And the horror of the Tol Sirion episode is chilling.

Finrod is one of my favourite Silmarillion characters (well, second to Fingolfin, to be honest), and yet I kind of avoid all fanfics centered on him because I believed this Elf has a sort of poignent beauty in himself that words fail to express. But your writing is really beautiful, and when you portray Finrod's lasting friendship with the Secondborn, my mind keep echoing 'Yes, it is Finrod!'

And the closing is transcendentally beautiful. (I hope you get my idea) When I first came to the sea shore paragraph, I kind of expected the white ship carrying Bilbo and Frodo to turn up, giving Finrod the chance at least to behold people of a branch of the Secondborn. But then, what can be a more soothing scene to see Beren's descendant sailing to Aman with a Silmaril?
