gosh, this was really beautiful. i love your descriptions of their relationships and how they change and grow here. their meeting was especially cute honestly, with kaworu getting excited over learning something new about shinji :') thank you for this, i really enjoyed it!

I whimpered after reading this story. It was bittersweet and star-crossed, and so THEM. You captured it perfectly. Great one shot!

Whoa, this was really good. Best KaworuxShinji story I've found so far! Great job keeping them in character. I wish there were more fics like this with Kaworu in character and Shinji and the rest of the side characters in character. This story has so nice and I can't even describe what I liked so much about it but it was great. Great job with the ending as well ;') *sniff* so nice!

I especially loved your depiction of this slow and forlorn passage of time of not-really-contacts, people just existing past each other, distant hints of what's going on elsewhere, what the bigger picture is, but none of that really the present reality that much, like poor Shinji is living in this field of fog and thorns from episode 25... and of course, the honest connection that was still able to blossom within it, maybe not cancelling everything else out, but genuine nonetheless

Okay I went into this story not knowing how I would feel. I like Kaworu but I like him as a person. I personally don't see him with anybody even though it is canon that he loves Shinji. I think I have some kind of prejudice against Shinji. Coming out of this story, I feel more strongly for Kaworu still. You made Shinji a more likable character that I was okay with Kaworu giving everything to Shinji and them being together. I think I was brought back to reality when you would make references to the movies and I would have to remember who Shinji is but even with those thoughts, I wanted to know if this was a reincarnated world and how does Kaworu always retain his memories? Is it because he is an angel? I do love how you did bring in his wings. I love that you see it within his shadow.
I liked the story. Did it make me cry, sob, scream at the sky while shaking my fists? No. It do not but I don't believe that is what you were going for. I feel that you wanted an ending that made Kaworu happy than what happened in EVA 3.33.
