Guest chapter 2 . 6/4 On the first chapter now and I don’t usually review so early but just wanted to say the premise is interesting. Guilmon being essentially a big baby and repearing “Takatomon” is just so cute too |
setokayba2n chapter 54 . 3/17 Well, it was a good story, good to read, too bad Gallantmon could not call Ark, with the extra-firepower maybe they could had win. |
Hero Of The Hazard chapter 11 . 1/31 Oh good, it's -Mr Widemouth-Huang, here to kill your kids by convincing them to do dumb stuff when they don't know it'll kill them, greaaaaaat. Welp, Davis, whatever you're going to do, it's going to be important...I hope. |
Toxicthecat4836 chapter 54 . 7/7/2019 This was really good. The characters were well written, the mystery was very suspenseful and the pacing was very steady. |
PieKnight chapter 54 . 7/2/2019 This story was a great read. I just binged through it today. I'm looking forward to the sequel with Takato. Keep up the great work! |
aikotters chapter 7 . 2/3/2019 I like Takato's sense of dread and doom. He could have used a little more awareness of that But it didn't mean he meant it - A little weird word choice there. You mean "it didn't mean Iori meant what he said"? I think? Man Takeru shot up like a weed. 5'11"? How far is this after 02? Cause that is TALL. Bless Guilmon for being such a sweetie who can't read the atmosphere. Also is that Ryo? Are we doing the Ryo is the basis for Gennai theory? I would honestly love that, he's the only one we've got who frequently crosses time. I think it may have killed her. - I mean... nice cliffhanger. But... eh. Idk 7 chapters in after a dramatic fit feels weird and hard to believe. But maybe that's just me and I'm cynical. I stand by that this is a great place to end the chapter. Just for me it's hard to believe. Now if she is actually dead... I'm there. Sign me UP. |
aikotters chapter 6 . 1/17/2019 Where there are Demon Lords, there tend to inevitably be Huanglongmon I suppose. Still cool to see mention of him. Very few fics that use the Demon Lords in full don't include Huanglongmon somehow. At this point, it's only a matter of how, especially since the only Holy Beast we have only seen as a minor antagonist at best. I like that Daisuke sees it first and foremost. It goes along with the trend of Daisuke being the one with the most supernatural crap going on. It's nice to see one of the Dark Seed children involved, even if it's only through their partner. And it's a Bearmon! We don't see too many of those. Daisuke and V-mon's rappaport is good, though it feels a little heavy-handed at bits when they talk. The dialogue veers a bit too forced casual. THe situation is very serious and they're trying to take their minds off of things, but it's not as smooth and easy as these two become in the show. "Do you believe in coincidences?" I feel like in an earlier chapter this would feel more ominous. But I feel it came later and now this ending conversation feels anticlimactic and very telling. I understand why the story started with Takato but it feels we lost a lot of opportunity for setting if we hadn't started the story with him. I do like the ominous, Takeru might be dead thought in Davis' head. I'm not sure he'd be quick to consider it so much, but i like that the possibility is clearly there all the same. See you next chapter! |
aikotters chapter 5 . 11/17/2018 I can't tell if Yolei is supposed to be intentionally tactless here, or trying to help cheer Hikari up or interrogate her. It's a nice thought if it's the latter two. But it feels like it's supposed to be just superficial, less important than the plot. "Taking this calmly" - This is a little weird of a statement, considering Hikari's seen this sort of thing now for the third time. It makes sense she'd be more focused on TK considering that's something she's still puzzling out. Homeostasis sure showed up early in this fic. For the characters I think they may have taken too long, but five chapters in indicates this is serious, well, much as the god can help anyway. Demon Lords! I knew you'd write them eventually and here they are! Though wow do they give away a lot of plot relevant details in one go. They must be confident. Still not sure which one it is yet but I will find out. At any rate, we'll have to see what Takato has to do with it soon enough. Until next time! |
aikotters chapter 4 . 10/30/2018 And here we are again. I keep forgetting how jarring dub is to me. THe start of the fic runs on a little. That sentence and heck, the whole concept of the start of the chapter feels it could be a little smoother. Cause we get the mention of a dream the chapter doesn't really broach. If we had a little of the dream, or a bit more context and then talked about it next chapter, which seems like what's going on. Takato's guilt comes across really well here. Everyone's pain is clear but you actually feel really bad for Takato because he genuinely knows nothing and he can't help right now. He may be able to down the line but it's clear right now that there is no way he can nor should he. Also I know Cody is super careful and isn't gonna do it on purpose but imagining Digmon drilling for cards gives this image of all these cards with holes by accident and I feel bad for thinking it's funny. I think there are too many characters in this scene. Despite it not being dense, there are just so many people and thoughts and processes to keep track of and so for me characterization falls a little flat. Maybe two less chosen-partner pairs would have made it feel manageable for me, and then you could have other characters doing other things. Again, my personal opinion there though. See you next time! |
yuutojaden chapter 54 . 10/21/2018 please continue |
ithil chapter 23 . 7/7/2018 finally reviewing, haha anyway, this digimon remix of TLO is really cool! It's always funny to recognise bits of narration or spoken lines, but i really like what you've done with mixing up the character roles compared to the book. part of that probably is the larger cast, but i think its really neat! looking forward to reading the rest, and that sequel you mentioned (and will that be anything like the son of neptune?) |
aikotters chapter 3 . 2/15/2018 I'm back at this! It has been a while. Finally. Have to remind myself of the dubisms a tad, mostly due to the ages. But that's for me to worry about. Was the Thunderbirmon intentionally meant to sound like Kouki from Savers? Cause he really does and Biothunderbirmon was a Savers thing, despite Thunderbirmon being an armor. I'm probably reading too much into this. Anyway, just here to say I really like his personality. It's just so terrible and violent. Shameless villains are only sometimes done well and you have hit him right on the nose. Poor Elecmon though. Gotta say that Takato is handling all of this really well. To be fair, he's not exactly gotten much time to stew over it, so I guess what else is he gonna do? It'll all sink in eventually I suppose. Hey, it's a lot of everyone else! I'm glad we won't just have Takato and Guilmon anymore. As much as I enjoy these two and their good camaraderie, we need some more characters. And now we're getting to the plot! Takeru is missing and more than likely, it's related to Takato. THere is no way that's a coincidence. Minor nitpick: "The blonde dude" feels off with the rest of the narration. :D but anyway, I want to keep moving forward so I shall! |
PokedragonofKonoha chapter 1 . 2/10/2018 This entire fic feels a lot like The Lost Hero, in the PJO universe, except different and with different enough mechanics to still make it amazing and not like a rehashing of the story. I like! |
AshleyPorter chapter 1 . 12/2/2017 I recently reread this so that I could catch up on the sequel and I remembered how much I love this fic. Your writing and characterization blows me away. I just love it. Amazing. |
MemeSonataInGMinor chapter 16 . 11/27/2017 This chapter kind of reminds me strongly of a scene from the heroes of olympus series in the first book when Jason, Piper and Leo went to meet some ice king. Is it a coincidence? |
