That there could be any joy at all is the miracle amid the darkness and death all around them. Then suddenly light. This was so amazingly well done, probably the best SAINW fic I have come across! The emotions expressed in this fic were just so very raw, the fear, anxiety, and anguish nearly palpable, and it gives so much more insight into the character development of the turtles from that world. I can understand Raph's anger towards Leo after having gone through this, watching Mikey endure this, with Leo nowhere to be found. It was such a profound, heart-wrenching piece of work, I very much enjoyed reading it

That was excellent. Like the others are saying, this is probably one of the best written and thought our SAINW stories on this site. The detail and character action really makes it, but it's the insanely honest and accurate depiction of Raph that I can't get over. Every second, even the rare moments of levity, were heart wrenching. Honestly, after that, I'd probably want to kill Leo, too.

This was absolutely stunning. I haven't read a piece this beautiful in a LONG time. I hate to be one of those people to drop a review without much to say, but really the only thing I can say is holy cats- this is beautiful.

This is the best SAINW fanfic that I've read so far. The description was so vivid, I can almost see the sky above, smell the smoke from the guns in the battlefield and hear the armored vehicle approaching.

My eyes were wet from tears mid-way the story. Bravo.

Hnghhnh ow my feelings! This is a nice take on what could have happened! Very well written, very intense. "Lie to me" arghgh! I came into this fic knowing what I was getting into and it still hurts. Well done! :D

Well I'm choked up. Where do I even start with this one... um, I think this is the best SAINW fic I've ever read. Not kidding. First, the setting. Holy cheese balls, I *saw* the sky, the mud, the rush of water towards the brother. This fic is just so amazingly written, I don't know how to express my love for it. I wish I could string words together worthy enough to say just how beautiful this is. Because it IS. But, as you often do, you've stolen my ability to speak.
Raphael's lie... oh gosh, that was sweet torture. The bond between Mikey and Raph is real and perfectly described. There's so much going on, so much has changed, and yet you kept them both in character. I laughed when you wanted me to laugh (8 kids, heh) and cried when you wanted me to cry, and felt terror and horror the whole way through.
Just... bravo. I'm tucking this one away in my favorite list, SS.
Oh, and do the world a favor and NEVER STOP WRITING.

Don't know what to say. This is depressing, but I like it. Not at all what I was expecting for something like this. Loved Raph's lie, though. A nice idea, and it helped them both get through it. Great job, as always.
