Ugh I've been having the same problem since four years ago when I first read this series
it OUGHT to be as popular as Percy Jackson or something like that, but it's NOT, and that puzzles me to no end. THANKS FOR CARING ABOUT THIS AMAZING SERIES WITH AN AMAZING FANFICTION

As I was idly flipping through The Tapestry series, partly out of a kind of nostalgia and partly as I'd just realised the sequel series Impyrium was going to be released relatively soon, I thought I'd check for Tapestry fanfics.

I didn't have high expectations. I wouldn't have been surprised to find that no one had written any (although I would have been disappointed), and I expected if that if I /did/ find any it would be terrible. You know how how it goes - there's a reason most fanfic authors don't publish stories in their own right, and the fandom of a relatively obscure middle grade series of novels isn't typically the best place to find diamonds in the rough. I figured if stories had proper grammar it'd be a pleasant surprise.

Still, I looked.

And I'm glad I did. My low expectations aside, this is an actually, genuinely good little snippet. It fits in well enough with the series that I can pretty much accept it as true. It made me realise things about the series that I didn't know. In terms of what this piece of writing is, and what it's trying to do, that's about the highest praise I can give. It's just a great little story.

There is nothing I love more than The Tapestry. I am finishing The Red Winter as we speak, and hoping for a good ending. Fantastically well-written story, though such large paragraphs are a... turn off, so too speak, to other less intellectual readers.

This is amazing. The way you get into David's thoughts and feelings and observations is perfectly in character and the way you wove these reflections in with what had happened was fantastic. This is an excellent piece of work and you are a great writer.

Your writing is so fluent and poetic that it seemed a crime to stop reading it. Your logic about David's age makes perfect sense and I had also had similar thoughts, although I stopped trying to keep tack of how old people were by the end of 'The Second Siege'. I was impressed by the depth of this story and all its other elements (especially the complete lack of grammatical errors, as my own stories feature them heavily). Congratulations on a story well written.

If i remember, it refers to King david, in the bible, after it was declared he was to be king, and became friends with the son of the current king, the son being named johnathan. Might be wrong though. And i cant wait for Red Storm either. I read these books about 9 months ago, and i went ahead and started rereading them now as to be ready of the new book.

First off, amazing story! You really have a way with words. Secondly, it's incredible how you showed the resemblance Max and David share with the ancient Jonathan and David. I can't believe i never saw it before. Though this does help me understand just why I have loved the books so much. And yes, I did know exactly who you were talking about. ;) Thanks for writing this, Tapestry is definitely a series that needs more recognition.

A great insight in David's mind, I believe too that he truly loves Max as a friend, or brother, or whatever they are. Your comments on the age gap between the two of them as well as between the rest of the students are really helping. Though I'm not sure if it was one or two years that Max and David spent in the Sidh. This age thing in this series confuses me a bit, it's true. Anyway, the relationship study you did here truly applies, in my opinion. I'm positive that David's thoughts about Max are along these lines. Nice to see more people thinking of the Tapestry as such a great but underrated series.
