I am reading this now in 2018 after seeing fan art for it by Lai. I must say, Free-Spirited-Dreamer, you are truly among the most talented I have come across on . This was absolutely beautiful and touching. Toph and Sokka are en pointe as well as little Lin. I love it when Zuko says to Sokka “that’s rough buddy” it brings back so many memories of the Boiling Rock and how awkward Zuko was. I would have liked to see more of the dialogue between Mai and Sokka instead of they just walked through shops and stopped at a bench and got dessert. Other than that, GREAT STORY! Thank you for publishing it!

The plot was interesting and you brought the characters to life with their dialogue and every little action or detail. What you did best of all, in my opinion anyway, was the slow and believable progression of their relationship and the grieving process Toph goes through. It's tough in any fic to keep the pace of the relationship such that it offers the audience a real emotional pay off and you pulled it off perfectly! Toph's hangups and Sokka's self-doubt made for solid dramatic tension throughout and I'm very glad you showed them the respect and gravity that they deserved rather than jumping the gun and having them get together effortlessly/too soon.
As for criticism, and this might be totally off base since it's mostly a matter of choice, I think there are times when your pacing is off. Like when you write a scene and certain details/parts get 90% of the word count and some important event or detail is just kind of skipped over. For example, the wedding in the last chapter got about a paragraph of the chapter. Now this might have been a choice about pacing on your part but to me it felt like you cut the ending short since a huge event in the story of the characters was nearly glossed over and I was looking forward to reading about it.
Anyway, I loved reading the story and I will be following 'A Little More Than Just Friends' and looking forward to reading it :D

Oh gosh.. This story had me in tears! (both good and bad, mostly good) I really loved this story, It was amazing for your first try though.. Anyway, I love all of your stories, and I can't wait to read the rest of them. No doubt they will be great

AW MY HEART THAT WAS SO CUTE! I know u said this was the last chapter but I just want to say if u want to do a one shot or another chapter of sokka death affecting toph that would be cool. AND THEN IT WILL HURT MY TOKKA HEART SO MUCH actually no don't write that instead write adorable papa sokka with baby su and him getting excited over everything yes that is nice. Oh god this is such word vomit I apologize. But seriously just such a great fic I loved every chapter and I can't wait to read more of your writing! :D
