Actually the reason the word ‘Zombie’ never appears in the show is because they live in a parallel universe where none of those movies and books exist

I hope you continue to work on this because this is definitely one of my favorites. You keep all the characters in check and the reactions that occured with each one aren't overly done. The relationship development between Daryl and Elise is at an appreciable pace and it's good to see that not all stories hit the ground running when it comes to these things. It's undeniably late, but congrats on graduating and getting married. Also thank you for teaching students and leading them to a better future. It's inspiring what you do. Again, hope you update. I'll bookmark this story/site in hopes of a new chapter. :)

I think Dale was right. Just killing a man for something he MIGHT do. I mean,I see their point about it being a possibility he would go back to his old group and tell them,but why would he? They left him for dead,with walkers! So I have to say I agree with Dale. Cause,just killing a man,without proper evidence,is just wrong. The least they could do was atleast have a trial or something like that...

Like,wtf? It's just a hat! But,it's still funny,anyway! I LOVE the way you made Daryl act,react,and interact with Elise! I can actually see this happening on the show!

I don't like the Daryl point pf view. Observing him from the outside is way too much fun. In a squirmy, almost ego threatening, and untrusting kind of way. Daryl looks at people the way an animal does when it's being hunted. You loose that a little if he's putting in his two cents. I may be beating a dead horse but doing his point of view just adds to the apologetics. I'm loving this otherwise. I keep loosing sleep reading it.

Again apologizing for things you should be doing. ;) the Dixon's could be more guarded or at least more crass but I like how yoy handled it to keep the story going.

You need to stop second guessing and explaining yourself. You got this. I am a hard constructive critic and while your writing (or mine) won't win any awards... yet, my critics thus far are so minimal. I went two pages of storiess before srumbling upon yours. I usually can't get past a fan fiction' s description. And the two that looked good enough to open I knew to close them by the third paragraph. Not worth my time. Well, I'm on chapter for here. And though I have had a few expected on guard moments. You smoothed out my worries adequetly. Her an Daryl's first interaction started off a little nicer than I expected. But you didn't dissapoint. I just really needed him to tell her, "ya bes mind yer ouwn damn business!"

For the record, third person nearly always comes easier and more pleasant in fan fiction it seems. But you are carrying it very well so far so, you, and I would rarely say this, may be one of the rare few who could pull it off. I say, run with it.
