Awesome! I'm just wondering... How the hell did the Team get through the Infiltrator-mission without Robin? If it hadn't been for him, that one Wayne Industries-building would have been lost, and no one would have uploaded the virus to the Swarm. Oh well, maybe they had other help? Anyway, when I read through your stories the first time, I dropped this early on because it's never fun to read about Robin being tortured by the Joker. But I glad that I finished reading it this time. It was really good.

I actually really like the way this turned out. I think it was a good decision for you to make the Joker NOT the reason Rob was feeling down. I mean, well, he HAS been doing it for four or so years, and even that is just another nightmare of Gotham. His relationship with Bruce is far more important to him than a physical scar. And thank you for having Wally there. It feels like to me with the way you put this that right after this little fic would be the point Rob tells Wally his identity (at least, in the universe of this fanfic). But, thank goodness for amazing butlers and best friends who don't even know your first name! Because otherwise Batman would be left as an oblivious idiot. *shakes head in exhasperattion*
And it's true, I do agree that though I liked the character design for the Joker in YJ, they didn't really portray him very well…

I love it! I love this so muchhh! Gosh that was so gooddd. Especially how you wrote the joker...damn is like im seeing heath ledger in action. I like how wally is more than this clumsy kid that the DCU portray him to be. He's a good friend and he got his moments. I am entirely grateful that you balance the character. Like you got dicks pov, bruce pov and alfred pov (rarely see alfred pov) then you got that supporting character like wally and YJ and JL. Entirely awesome. Nice work. Keep it up. Damn.

This story was perfect in every way possible! Beautiful writing, engaging plot, great emotional scenes, and non OOC characters (you certainly did better than Frank Miller).

Thank you for being one of the only writers who can write the 'goddamn' Batman (stupid Frank Miller) properly. Nobody seems to understand that, essentially, his emotional growth was stunted after his parents death, which is why he doesn't express emotion the normal way people do. I'm not saying that he doesn't love Dick, because its quite obvious that he does in his own bat-like way (bat-love should totally be a thing). I understand why people write him that way, because its hard to have a character be emotionally stunted while making it obvious that he cares, and the character becomes infinitely more likeable when they openly demonstrate love. But if you do that, you destroy Batman's character - a hero who isn't nice, who can be badass and cold and calculating, and become a hero that you respect and admire, but never someone who you want to become.
Anyways, sorry for the long rant (and the run-on sentences) - its just your story reminded me what a good portrayal of Batman should be.
Please update Roots soon - you could say that I'm totally Hooked (sorry about the bad pun).

Ooooooo! This has an amazing start! Really the only reason I saw it was because while waiting for roots to be updated (which need to happen now) I checked your other stories and since you mentioned roots was part of an series I looked for number 2 and voila!
