I don't know if it comes from my French-speaker origins, but I found your writing style particularly adapted to Roy. His military, kind of pompous way of thinking ... I almost felt like reading an "ancient" romantic bookThe way your story gets directly in the manga/anime is pure gold.
I love it when I forget I'm reading a fanfic and begin to speak directly to the characters, worrying, debating, laughing with them. And it was more than the case these last hours.
I would like to make a more elaborate review to (try to) give your talent what it deserves, but my English skills stop me there.

Fabulous story! I love how you developed the relationship between Roy and Ed and kept them both as the strong characters they are. I also enjoyed the way you wrote your story, alternating between full chapters and letters from Alphonse. It reads very well, helps lighten things up, and is a clever way of adding another perspective. I do wish I could have been a fly on the wall in Ed's confrontation of Am for that lie to Roy. Thank you for all of your time and effort in writing this wonderful story!

Great! Well written and just overall fantastic. If possible may I suggest a side story on that first night where Roy and Ed startd flirting. It would be interesting to read it from Eds perspective considering his feelings for Roy at that point

This was such a beautiful story!
Friends to lovers, perfect pacing, interesting plot and conflict, the interludes were sentimental and heartwarming, the action scenes so well written and easy to visualize, the familiar characters made me so happy to see them included. Gosh, the political intrigue was exciting, the survival as well, the circus was so unexpected but lovely, and the confessions and realizations were perfect. Amazing story!

This is one of the most complete, well-rounded and satisfying fanfictions I've ever read.
Not to mention, a beautiful and inspiring live story. Well done.
