You're right, this IS weird.

Weirdness 1: Bear trap.
Weirdness 2: Did Al's head fall in the bear trap? That's the only sharp thing in the room that could cause decapitation.
Weirdness 3: Fullmetal Alchemist is fairly logical. Alchemy is explained in great detail. Magical fingerprints are a different story.
Weirdness 4: I was not aware turning all Creta and Xing into slaves and Homunculi was possible with a Philosopher's Stone made of only Amestris.

Really happy this has been posted! As for what I'm expecting from the sequel, a part of me really wants Al to see Ed, and for him to realise Ed's a homunculus now. Saving Ed would be good too.
