Jessie May Stone chapter 65 . 1/6 Okay. Wow. This was an amazing story. I felt as though I was there along side Marie and the rest of Easy Company. You wrote this in such a way that it felt like there actually was a female paratrooper program in the Army at the time; and this story reminded me somewhat of the struggles the WASPs in WWII had when it came to being female pilots. While reading this I have also been watching Band of Brothers and I have to say you incorporated the dialog from the miniseries into your narrative very well. There were times I could actually hear the voices of Scott Grimes, Donnie Whallburg, Richard Speight Jr, etc. I actually read your twelve rewritten chapters and made my way here to finish this good piece of work. pI mean it when I say this isn't fanfiction, this is HISTORICAL FICTION. I look forward to reading more about Marie in the future. |
phoenixmagic1 chapter 65 . 1/23/2019 I enjoyed this story. I liked the emotional struggle all of the characters dealt with, nicely done. |
kellybrowny chapter 65 . 9/26/2016 Oh my goodness where can I even start. I found this story like two weeks ago and I read it as fast as I could (college kinda gets in the way soemtimes). I'm soemtimes hesitant about the female paratrooper idea but you made it so realistic and you had me hooked right from the beginning. You are such an awesome writer and I will definitely be reading your other stuff! I totally understand why you made he ending the way it is but I still have to confess that it made me cry because I wanted Marie and Malarkey together SO DANG BAD. But it was still great :) This story was amazing. Thank you so much for writing it. |
JoBoBaggins chapter 65 . 5/27/2016 I grew so attached to the characters that I'm going through a post-reading depression that's comparable to my depression after Harry Potter ended.:( The only difference is this doesn't end happily. Literally ranting to my friend about this story and she was gaping the entire time. Great job writing this story. I would enjoy an alternate ending but... It is what it is. Great job developing characters and plot! |
BabyT2699 chapter 65 . 1/22/2016 I absolutely loved this story! The character development of the OC's was great and it kept me wanting more every chapter I finished. The accuracy was wonderful and I think you're incredibly creative and a dedicated writer. You're a damn fine writer and I wish you all the best on your next writing endeavors! |
MASHlover23 chapter 65 . 10/20/2015 Oh wow... So many emotions right now. It's really over :( I must admit that I am a bit surprised about the final chapter. I didn't expect such a large time gap. But it does make sense. It would have been nice to get one or two short chapters between Marie's last night with Easy in Austria, and how she became married and settled with Giovanni. I think in this final chapter you showed poignantly how PTSD caused by war afflicts many service men and women, and how nobody is the same after war. How could they be? My heart aches for Marie, to have to deal with such awful afflictions of the mind. However, I believe without her husband - she wouldn't have made it to 1956, to be able finally reunite with men that she shared an unbelievably unique, but horrid journey with. I am so happy that you didn't leave her story open-ended, and that we all got some type of closure from the incredibly emotional journey you the author had taken us on. Marie, Emilia, and the world you created for them was truly and honor to read about. More importantly, I believe that you not just created an entertaining story - but also honoured the memories of the real men whom fought in Easy company. Thank you so much for sharing this story. 3 :)))))) |
LauRa-ReaDinG-XoX chapter 65 . 10/16/2015 You did a fantastic job with ending the story, i like how you ended even though a shredded a few tears! Look forward to future works :) |

BobtheFrog chapter 65 . 10/11/2015 Oh my goodness...well...that is a satisfying close to a fantastic book where I have to take a moment and just sit back before cracking it open to start reading again from the beginning. You know how much I love this fic :) |
Byron W.4 chapter 65 . 10/11/2015 Great End! |
Byron W.4 chapter 1 . 9/7/2015 Please updated Soon! |
23384 chapter 64 . 9/3/2015 Wow.. Where to start? I have been following and reading your updates so I apologize for not reviewing sooner! Firstly - I love Marie! She started out as such a sweetheart with believable weaknesses and insecurities, which is refreshing because you don't always see that in an OC. It also gave her character room to change and grow from all she went through which is really interesting to see. So much of what she has been through is so heartbreaking and you did all these moments justice in your honest description of what she saw and how she felt about each ordeal. The bond and understanding you have of Malarkey's character is also really great. I read his book while reading your story so I appreciate the emphasis you put on friendship and camaraderie and the caring you put into the portrayal of both Malarkey and Muck. There is so much more I could say so I'll try to go back and review some of the other chapters if I have time.. Goodbyes are always the hardest and I will be sad when this story is over but I hope you will be able to post the last chapter soon as I really want to know what ends up between Marie and Malarkey. |
Margaux Laurent chapter 64 . 9/3/2015 Awww... How awful for Marie, I wouldn't be brave enough, it makes her more relateble, I know I say that a lot but it's true |
Margaux Laurent chapter 1 . 8/29/2015 I read this whole story on my phone and I loved it so I got my sister to read it, Marie reminds me of me a little bit, I don't know if that's good or bad... Oh well, I loved it and the title is great! |
SCE2AUX chapter 2 . 8/16/2015 Of course the word "spaghetti" should have quotation marks around it. ;) |
