This was a cute little addition to ending of Spellbound. We get Beast Boy once again pushing forward to interact with Raven even when she tries to push them away. It was thoughtful of Beast Boy to make conversation in a away to make Raven feel part of the group.

Oops, Raven let her guard down. The chicken has been discovered, and it even made it out of the attack in one piece. That was quite the heartfelt speech Beast Boy made. It showed how he understood what it means to feel alone, and how he doesn't let that loneliness and loss define him. He has learned to find strength there, and to hold on to the things that can't be taken.

Surprise confession. I am sure Beast Boy didn't plan that at all, but after the chicken got the ball rolling, that was the natural conclusion. Raven is not sure where she stands, but I am sure she appreciates Beast Boy's genuine feelings.

In terms of cheering Raven up, I would say mission accomplished.

The story was great, I thought, until I read the last line, and had to realize it wasn't.
It's drop-dead awesome!
"A giant chicken. I must be the luckiest girl in the world." is one of my favourite lines from the entire series, and to turn it around like that is pure genius. *Slow clap*

What an amazingly lovely oneshot. Great work.
