This was beautiful. I absolutely loved it. Thanks for sharing this with us!
Maybe in another world they could have been friends or even more. But this was written realistically. And the story was uplifting in a strange way. At least for me it was due to the mutual respect shown between them (regardless of the fact that they are enemies) and thanks to Madara's actions during her last moments and after her death.
And most importantly, they both had no regrets in the end. :-)

okay oh my gosh THANK you for this! most of the MadaSaku fics i come across are just not realistic, or could be about anyone in any story in the world, they just changed the names, you know? it is really hard to find something that is REALISTIC, and could have actually happned in canon, AND keep them in character. so I applaud this, and i love your writing style. :) keep up the good work!

This is ... cute. Sad, but cute. It makes me wish there was more of a story to this. I'm sure Madara and Sakura could've... been friends, given time and reason.
