This was amazing! Thank you for taking the time to write this amazing piece! This a wonderful fanfic with a character place swap with strong Hayffie ship undertone. This is a addicting read that shows deep character understanding and the author proves that they have both read the novels thoroughly and watched the films. Though I think Haymitch and Effie are quite different I am a huge fan of the Hayffie ship and read numerous Hayffie ship pieces. The fact that the author was able to exchange Peeta’s role in catching fire in the third quarter quell perfectly was impressive and the mimicking of Peetas action By Haymitch was refreshing (ie hitting the forcefield and getting separated from Katniss towards the end). The gruff sarcastic Haymitch we all know shows numerous times and I got sucked into this read instantly. Being partly in Effie’s POV it shows how Peeta got the sponsors to the tributes.
10/10 would recommend to and true fans!

I have to say, I prefer this ending to what actually happened in Catching Fire! Thanks for sharing :)

But I loved it, I liked a Haymitch so openly in love with Effie, and that he also made the toasting without telling her.
It was great to see what would happened if Haymitch has returned to the arena instead of Peeta, and I know this is a Hayffie story, but yes I think if Peeta would be on the hovercraft and in district 13 since the begining, Katniss would be more affectionate with him. She would choose him over Gale without thinking.

I really wanted to read a story about Haymitch joining Katniss in the Quarter Quell and you sure didn't disappoint! And Effie and Haymitch are glorious together. ;)
