That was a very deep and meaningful story. It makes me feel sorry for Karai. If only she knew who really killed her mother then maybe she'd realize that she still has a real family that loves her and wants her back.
And I'm sorry you lost your mom so early on. If it helps I've always been a little jealous of my brother and sister because they got to meet both our grandfathers and I didn't. None of us got to meet our grandmothers but they at least got to meet our grandfathers. I know it's not the same as not having a mom but it still has always felt like I have missed out on something special that my brother and sister got to enjoy.

I love this. Thank you so much for sharing. I could clearly picture Mikey from the 2012 series, his gestures and comments felt really natural. He's definitely the only sibling who could've gotten away with this kind of talk with Karai, at this stage. It was so sad how you portrayed her relationship with the Shredder toward the end- but I think it's also likely accurate to how the show writers envision the relationship, since they've hinted about it in the show. I also think Mikey's trip to the surface was well done, and again accurate all around. Poor Mikey! It was sweet, overall, and very, very touching. I want to see these two hug in the series. See her as a sister to the turtles. She deserves that, and to have Splinter as a dad. She really does.

my ten year old cousin lost my aunt her grandmother this past march to cancer, she was like a second mother to her and not only did I cry for the loss of my favorite aunt I cried because I saw a ten year old girl so broken that it made my heart break for her.

THIS IS SO ADORABLE! It's so true they never had any real interaction in the show and i would like to see that. But you made it so true to the characters that i believe this is how it would go down if Mikey and Karai ever talked. Great Work
