To the reviewer who said we didn't have prohibition here - true, but up until the mid 1960s all public bars serving alcohol were required by law to close at 6pm, so any jazz clubs like the one in the story and the one Phryne visits on the show would potentially have been breaching this law.

Very fun! They didn't have Prohibition in Australia, though. No need for a speakeasy.

This is a great story and would lead perfectly into a chapter about the Windsor. Maybe we could find out that there is a crime there or a crime that led her to the club or something similar.
Please don't make this your last story. That would be a real shame.
