Shadow jade Phoenix chapter 1 . 1/11
I loved this so much!
Cahaya Sidur chapter 1 . 6/4/2016
Wow. Just wow. I love the depth of the relationship between Manny and Diego here, and how it doesn't stick to one event too long or too short so that it always has the reader's attention. I also love how it builds up perfectly to Ice Age 3's argument...really love this!

Oh. My. Cheese. This is actually the best fanfiction I've read, DiegoRedeemedLover! :D I can totally feel the pain that Diego felt and explains the connection between Diego and Manny in Ice Age 3. This is well written and I actually enjoyed it. *cries* Poor Diego... :( *sniffs* The pain of losing a friend or possibly a 'brother-like-figure' really is sad.

This reminds of a similar idea I had a while back for my OC Lek (also known as the Amnesic Kyle) and another OC of a brotherly relationship, but soon came to an end with the other OC gone to an 'important' job and is gone the whole day and never has time for the sad lonely Lek. With the amnesia, Lek is prone to get a coma which the brotherly relationship came back, however, it will end soon to an argument and that's when the story gets serious. (This is basically after Ice Age with Kyle 2, when Kyle loses his memories of the herd by sacrificing his memories to return everything back to the way it was and returns into a 'new' life. But, of course, Kyle needs to come back. That's basically the upcoming -hopefully- Ice Age with Kyle 3.5.)
LittleMissGamer chapter 1 . 3/5/2014
I did love the first movie a lot as a kid, and I more or less am just a casual fan of the two following movies after (not at all a fan of the fourth).

But a friend of mine who knows you (angelrin) said you needed a review for this fic, so here I am.

You have a really good grasp on Manny and Diego's characters :)

I wish I could add more, but to be honest, that's where the strength in this little ficlet lies, your characterization. It's very spot on.

I am sorry I don't have much to say, I'm kind of out of it today (not feeling well). But my friend recommended you so I wanted to check it out and give you a review! Reviews are the lifeblood for authors so here is a little something for you!

Keep up the good work :)
KaylaDestroyer chapter 1 . 3/1/2014
I have to admit, I really appreciate it when people take the time to delve further into Manny than the simple outer story Blue Skies has going for him right now. Everyone sees him as a father who wants to protect his child, and accidentally forgets about his friendship with Diego and Sid; which he did do in the third movie. However, when one considers the friendship and sacrifices they've shared, they realize just how deep of a friendship, maybe even brotherhood, Manny and Diego must have. So, to be pushed apart by the arrival of a new baby is more than just an unmarried friend drifting away from his married friend, in Manny and Diego's case. It's more than neglect and fear from respective sides. It's deeper, in a sense; there's two friends with an incredible bond, taking part in special activities to help one another, making sacrifices and accepting someone else's help even though your not used to it, and then one day things between them start to crumble. I find your background for Diego's weakness quite interesting, much more so than the movie's simple portrayal.

Of course, it is a family/children's movie, so they can't go too intricate or dramatic with the plot. Sometimes I read stuff like this and get inspired to write about Manny and Diego's brotherhood. (One example would be my story "Brotherhood Trust". Bit of an obvious title. XD) I enjoy seeing the more realistic and yet at the same time fictional side of their relationship, and I love pondering on it. And I have to admit I still really like your story that parodies Jack Frost's death with Diego and Peaches; pure genius. XD I mostly liked the whole idea of Manny adopting teenage Diego after helping save him; it's a very intriguing "what-if" element that could change the entire series if it were true...

Man, now I wanna' write about Manny as Diego's adoptive dad! XD Oh well; I'll try and make up some other different species adoption to write about instead; maybe my own mammoth and saber...probably with a different background for originality purposes. Anyway, I probably shouldn't have been talking about a different story in this review, but ah well. Now I might post Manny/Diego friendship/brother fluff sometime soon...XD Thanks for the inspiration! XD You should keep it up with these oddly fascinating angle stories; they're quite interesting!
