He might not be very good at intuiting his sons' feelings and emotions and loving them externally, but he still cares deeply about them. Trying to understand and grow closer to them by analyzing them and paying attention to the details is such a very /him/ thing to do. Love this little glimpse into Bruce's head! |

| Katherine chapter 1 . 3/1/2014 I love it, the whole, "What can you learn about someone from their shoes?" trope has always been something I find interesting, and it's nice to see Bruce A) Helping and B) thinking about his sons as... his sons, I guess. Oh and if you think flash fics are a PITA, try the world of 'drabbles', 100 words *exactly* haha. Thankfully, most contests lets you submit several drabbles at once, so long as it's one story and each drabble has the feel of a separate chapter... Or that's the closest I can really explain it. On my favorite website, all mine get dismissed, because it's moderated (and I honestly love that) which means I get rejected for claiming the universe as mine, due to the authors' having not 'done it right.' XD No sense of humor haha. |
| ARL15 chapter 1 . 3/1/2014 I could totally see Bruce lecturing Dick as he was growing up that he needed to wear sturdy shoes. Other than Dick wearing flimsy shoes for flexibility, I could also see Dick going barefoot a lot. Great story! |
