Jemabean chapter 12 . 9/23/2019 Great story! Thanks for sharing! I love seeing JC in a relationship through canon experiences! Thanks for giving us a happy JC ending! |
N chapter 12 . 3/24/2019 That was really, really really good. I always like the stories that have them, J/C, that is, in an established relationship. It makes the story so much richer and it gave so much more material to write about. I will be sure to follow you from now on. |
battousaisgirl16 chapter 12 . 9/19/2018 Love how you kept it so close to canon. Made it more realistic. |

Storiest chapter 12 . 4/18/2017 I know this is an older story, but it was so satisfying and enjoyable. I just had to thank you for writing! |
Moonlitfaith chapter 12 . 10/5/2016 You totally surprised me with the scope and slow careful building of this story. After "Alternate Coda" I figured this would be a rapid transformation to full on J/C with a little drama in the mix, but I love how you interweaved the episode events nearly "as is" and let Janeway have all her anxieties and difficulties. I loved that Chakotay was able to help stave off the depression of the void and that Tom was able to be recognized as someone who would honor such an important secret- though as you moved through the timeline I did feel a need to see J/C deal with "30 days" somehow. Like other readers you never let me get too confident in the smooth sailing of the relationship towards an ultimate happy ending and so I worried how close to canon you would keep in those later years. The distance and tension from Equinox and Quarra and even the handling of Seven was so perfect and allowed for almost all the scenes to play as they are on screen with just the intensity of literary irony. I loved it! The fetus piece was an inventive and dramatic play on their day to day struggles. The letting up on "heresy" of making new lives. All perfect! And while I can't say I could see the bridge scene to quite the extreme you played it I was literally laughing and grinning. Also through Janeway's ... Can you call it a proposal? I mean it's so her but really it made me playfully infuriated to have it "settled" in that way- much like Chakotay I'm sure! And last but not least I am still haunted by the alien race who "had never seen children before", and the thoughts of not only what that implied but then Kathryn struggling once again alone with the weight of not only the trauma of the events but the suicide. You struck just the right tone of foreboding and assurance that no reasonable Janeway could look away from. Made me feel like it was a much more set decision than for the Endgame version. Hmm all this I think to say -I loved it! |
