Jane Keybored chapter 26 . 5/27 Great story. The plot was interesting and heavy doses of sexy, the pacing was perfect and the end was satisfying! Applause all around! |
Jane Keybored chapter 10 . 5/18 (Ch 10) Great chapter. I like how we got their first snuggle, but it didn’t automatically lead to snuggling every night. But, by the end we got to their first kiss |
Jane Keybored chapter 5 . 5/17 (Ch 5) I don’t use curse words in my real life (I’m pretty sure I’m in the minority). But, I think well-placed curse words can be effective in a story. It could be easy to over use them in a dark story like this, but I don’t feel like they’re being over-used. It’s perfectly suited to Peeta and Haymitch’s character, without being excessive. |
Jane Keybored chapter 4 . 5/17 (Ch 4) I won’t review every chapter. But if I have a little something to say, I’ll go ahead. In this chapter, there is one paragraph of budding Everlark. “For some reason, I'm unable to get the image of his hands out of my head. I wonder what those hands would feel like. If they would feel different from Gale's. Gale's hands were full of scars, too, from the mines and the woods. As I realize what I've just been thinking actually means, I feel like the worst person in the world.” I think this is really well placed. After all, most of us readers are reading for Katniss/Peeta pairing. But you can’t just throw instant love into a story about a recently widowed woman who really did love her husband. On the other hand, throwing a little Everlark bone is great, and it is well done. Katniss’ curiosity and interest, followed by her self loathing seems right on target for the situation! |
Jane Keybored chapter 2 . 5/17 (Ch 2) You do a really good job of illustrating the hunger/starvation threat. Katniss is being really courageous to face prostitution in the wake of recently losing her beloved husband. I find Haymich’s character to be perfectly in character! |
Jane Keybored chapter 1 . 5/17 (Ch 1) I’ve had this story in my favorites for years. I thought I’d go back and re-read some of my favorites and leave reviews as payment for the great stories! This story is great. Hunger Games is pretty dark, but this story is an excellent, even darker complement to the original. |
kvock07 chapter 26 . 4/26 Awww! 3 I cried so much reading this epilogue! This is a wonderfully written story |
Letavia chapter 26 . 2/26 I like it! It was interesting. Some parts were more difficult to read than others for obvious reasons. But it adapts to the situation just fine. Panem is a really messed up country. The point of view of this story is more adult, not only because the characters are grown up. The little glimpses that Collins let us see about Capitol’s life, or its running system fits here. Thank you for sharing your story with us! |
caro chapter 26 . 11/11/2019 ver las dos caras de la moneda en katnis fue contrastante y que petta no fuer a tan puto igual fue un shock muy interante |
Miss.Breakable Butterfly chapter 12 . 10/31/2019 Ok I just started reading the story and I love the flow, the writing and the development of the characters. However, there are some things that cause me conflicts, for example, that the winners go to visit another district because if I remember correctly, in the book he says that the trip between districts is forbidden and well I know that this is a fic, but with what has been read so far, I think Snow is something that I would continue to implement even in this universe. In any case, it is a delight to see the way Katniss behaves around the other winners, especially Cashmere. |
ClintonBush43Obama chapter 26 . 6/2/2019 The ending felt a little bit rushed here. Will you ever do a sequel? |
Guest chapter 2 . 5/25/2019 So Katniss is about 30 years old here. That is a decent age for writing about Katniss as a fully mature adult woman, although I'd personally prefer her depicted a little older, but that's neither here nor there. Some other readers have accused your Katniss of being a little OOC. I have never cared about that, and although I haven't read far enough to make a well-rounded judgment, I think Katniss's choices in this universe make sense. Look at her home life: two children by the time she is 30. Arrow is four or five, so she had him when she was 25 or 26. As she was a good little Seam girl and married into another Seam family at 18, that means it took Gale seven years to convince her to have children at all. I would say that is very in-line with Katniss. We just know that in canon, it took Peeta much longer to talk her into motherhood. |
Guest chapter 2 . 5/25/2019 I don't know why, but I chuckled out loud at the aftertaste of seashells comment. And I actually laughed at Haymitch yelling at Katniss to put her clothes on. The fact that Haymitch shops at the Mellark Bakery struck me. Somehow, I didn't think the Mellarks (particularly Mrs. Mellark The Witch) would willingly do business with a drunk like him. Even if he did save their son's life. |
WizMonCruWil chapter 14 . 5/26/2019 Not gonna lie, I got so HARD reading Katniss and Peeta hee-hawing, fucking hog wild on his couch! That lovemaking was hot, hot, HOT! And she is going to sleep with him in his bed for Round Two! They should just Toast the bread, get married now and have it over with. It wouldn't be so bad if Katniss married again. |
statetech0 chapter 11 . 5/26/2019 Katniss and Peeta openly kissing was so sexy! Katniss is very cute to be considering how to fall in love again, and if she is even doing it right. Like she says, falling in love at 31 is very different from falling in love at 16. |
