The Reclaimers were chosen by the Librarian because she recognized their potential after discovering Humanity's reason for burning Forrunner worlds, it was due to them prioritizing the Flood and upholding the Mantel of Responsibility. That Mantel was designed by the Precursors who were destroyed before they could judge humanity or the other species. Humans were just next in line so after the remaining Forunner leaders decided that they didn't deserve rebirth, they chose Humanity because we were just next on the list. Faunus wouldn't because of just their abilities otherwise the Elites or Brutes would have also received the honor. |
