I think it would be interesting if you could somehow get Percy and Annabeth here and they be like "THALIA WE HATH COME TO SAVETH YOU!" And Thalia is just like holding hands with Edmund... I don't know but I am loving it!

Oh, I'm so sad! I honestly thought she'd stay and they'd live happily ever after... I'm pathetic, aren't I? I know that's not how either Narnia or CHB works.

Anyway, great story! As you said in the AN, there's room for improvement (there's always room for improvement). My main criticism is that I don't think you got the Pevensies' voices right - as in, they acted and "sounded" modern and American. The only remedy for that would be to suggest you track down the original BBC television series of the Chronicles of Narnia and watch that (and other similar material) until you're very familiar with how they act and speak. (Seriously, it works).

So, you mentioned the possibility of a sequel, so I'm off to look for that now.

I'm confused... What's Caspian doing here? I thought this was set during the Golden Age (end of the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, before the Horse and his Boy). I must have been mistaken, but I can't see how Caspian would fit in otherwise.

Hi! As you can see, I'm only on Chapter Two, but I'm enjoying the story so far - it's a great premise!

Just one thing, though: Well, sort of one and a half. The Pevensie children all seem to be talking like modern Americans, which is slightly offputting but not terribly so. However, in this chapter (2), Thalia makes a big fuss about wearing "pants" and how "everyone wears them in 2014". And, well, in the UK, "pants" means "underpants" (briefs I think you'd call them). In the 21st century, I (as an Australian) got into some tricky situations with my English cousins before I worked this one out, so I can just imagine how teenagers from the 1940s would react to someone (particularly a girl!) saying it!

But anyway, I have noticed them talking like modern Americans ("guys", "ya", etc), which is a little disconcerting, but neither here nor there as the plot is really quite good. But the thing about the "pants"... I couldn't help but snigger when I read that as I imagined what the Pevensie reactions really must have been.
