I loved it.

OMG!

I need to tell you that I never read TV fanfics no matter how much of a fan I am of a show.
My fanfic reads are mostly devoted to manga and anime.
So this is my very FIRST TIME to read a TV fanfic.
I am such a DA fan and your writing of Mr. and Mrs. Bates, they happen to be my MOST FAVORITE couple in the series was wonderfully romantic, superb and sweet.
It had all the elements I was looking for and you kept them in character which is awesome.
I actually had to bite the blanket to stop myself from squealing too loud.

I think this was truly wonderful. What a great way of showing just how far they've come.

I liked that they had finally got back to a point in their relationship where they could tease and flirt with each other in such a carefree manner, and that while they have to live with it, they aren't letting it rule their lives. Their love for each other just shone through.

I also liked that you didn't shy away from that night either. Anna pushing John away in the boot room was painful, but definitely something that would happen. And John blaming himself for it all again was inevitable. I doubt that will ever change. But the hope that went along with it, with Anna rising above it, was so very uplifting.

Their scene in the bedroom was my favourite. You handled their intimacy with great delicacy, and that really showed through in your writing. Their talking felt so natural, and I could easily see something like this taking place. Anna's question about if he could tell the difference was heartbreaking, as was her nerves about whether it had been as good as before, but I think they're incredibly important issues that need to be brought up, which you did so well. And I liked that despite that, they stayed lying together so intimately, and that John wasn't afraid to take the lead again when Anna needed his reassurance. This paragraph doesn't really do justice to how much I loved this scene, but I hope it at least gives you a flavour.

The ending was just perfect. Exactly what was needed to cement their moving forward! I loved that John was unable to stop himself from kissing her, and then was interrupted by Mr. Carson and his disapproval, haha.

This is a wonderful story. Anna's questions and doubts really broke my heart, but this is so beautifully written.

well, this is a lovely palate cleanser after 'the telegram'. there is something very different about this story than other post-trauma stories about anna and bates. it is hard for me to pin point or articulate but i'll try to be clear; i think it was how she asked if their intimacy was as good as before (and how he knew over selling that it was perfect would have the opposite results he wanted) and when he asked her (could he believe her answer if she said yes? i mean, really?), she deflected and asked if he "could tell". and i think it was also when she asked if he saw her differently. these are delicate matters and they were handled with respect for the characters and for the subjects. it would be so easy to exploit them all. but you didn't. and the ending. yay, baby! :)

Very nice job. Sensitive and sweet. Now if only JFK will take note.

Awwwww. This was wonderful!

I will never tire of when Anna tells John she's pregnant and you told it so well. And their pillow talk is so endearing.
