I do not think I can properly express how much I love this story. The prose is riveting, the similes vivid and expressive, and the introspective style so touching, it left me short of breath at times.

I can imagine Kenshin would be so protective to Kaoru and their unborn child, worrying all day that anyone or anything might harm his wife and his child. He would start to note all the important nutrients for pregnant woman, what can be done and what cannot, and to ask Kaoru almost everytime 'are you alright? is the baby alright?' He was definitely a wonderful father, I agree with Kaoru

I agree with you. I think what prompted Kenshin to travel to Kyoto was that he can truly see what his future with Kaoru would be. He couldnt wait for saying good bye to his bloody past that had been weighing his shoulder for years, to make peace with them, and to welcome wonderful new life ahead with his future wife. He should made sure that nothing from his past could matter anymore.

Thank God I was alone when I read this, or people would think something had happened to me because I was crying like never did that before. I always feel many different kind of emotions everytime I reread the final of Jinchuu arc, but this drabble make those something else, something more. I am really glad I found this story. the line 'Never once, in all of the nightmares that he has dragged her into, has Kaoru dono ever given up on him' is so true. You have given wonderful details of Kenshin's feeling, and make him so in character. Thank you!

I really like how you've shown Kenshin's developing feelings and need for Kaoru in these one-shots. My favorite one was probably the one where Kenshin almost left before Kaoru managed to thwart him - it was really a turning point for him.

Hello. I must say that these are one the best collection of oneshots-themed KK I have ever read. I loved canon KK and you made them wonderfully well, the way you pictured their relationship and how in character they are... Peaceful days and moments... - This is a perfect example of what I want to see in the future for Rurouni Kenshin and you give me just that. Thank you. I really enjoy this and I hope this will further continue... So I hope I'll see you around soon :)

This is my favorite chapter. I think about this period of their life a lot, with how Kenshin must have felt torn and unsure about staying and going. You wrote this beautifully. I really like how you link Kaoru to summer here, too, as a reflection of her personality. Thanks so much for writing these :).
